It is SOOOOO worth it. I don’t have one, but I’ve used them on a million occasions and after going through a blender every year, I might splurge next year and get one (our blender for now works great). My sister-in-law has on and swears by it, she adores it, as does my nanny-mom.

It is expensive, but it has a lifetime warranty, so it pays for itself – esp. if you’re like me and you end up having to buy a blender every year anyway cause they break 😛

It is very expensive, so if its too much just dont get them a blender at all, but it is totally worth it.

I can turn a smoothie with celery into something sooooo smooth you would never know there wasnt stringy fiber in there. Its truley amazing.

Ice is a joke. No worries about too much ice and having chunks.

It purees soups better than anything else I have ever used.

I can grind my coffee beans in it.

If you really like, you can leave it on for a few minutes and it heats up what is in it (So you can actually make soup in it)

Its tall, so it doesnt fit in all cabinets, but I like the size. I use it so often! Its like a lot of things, you have to learn what it does and remember to use it for it to be useful.

If you like to cook, or make frozen drink sor smoothies often then its great, but if you dont already do those things, it may just be another expensive piecve of equipment gathing dust.

I make soup all the time, grind my coffee, make sauces etc so its really useful for me.

My parents have the basic one and got us a slightly more expensive model for our wedding. I love the vitamix!! I make soup and smoothies and will be making baby food as well. So worth the money, but I’d say have other people chip in if you can and make it a group gift.
