So I went off Ortho-TriCyclen Lo after 10 years on January 29th (last pill). Got my period on February 3rd – and still no period yet. I have been doing some research online and it says that some ladies take Vitex Chaste Berry – all natural herb to help regulate cycles and help with hormonal imbalances that cause infertility.
Just wondering if any of you have heard of it/used it yourself? Thanks!: )

My entire family has irregular cycles, it’s not abnormal for them not to have a period for an entire year. I haven’t had problems until august…I wouldn’t get my cycle for 80+ days, which is awful when you’re ttc. BUT, I ordered fertilaid (vitex is a main component) last month and AF arrived a few days ago only 40 days since my last cycle! I’ve been taking it for 5-6 weeks. I do recommend it, just make sure to take it religiously each day or it might not work as quickly. It can’t hurt to try, right?

I found that vitex delayed my ovulation, and had to go off it again. My cycles got more regular as time went on, being off the pill takes time since your body takes up to 6 months to get rid of residual estrogen in your fat cells. I found that vitamin B really helped me the most.

Have you tried charting to see where your cycles are? It may tell you what’s going on.

I have had very irregular cycles my entire life so when I went off of birth control pills in January, I started taking FertilityBlend for Women and had a 61 day cycle which is really good for me (sometimes I will go more than a year without having a period). I know that it can take up to 3 cycles to notice a difference so I don’t think it would hurt to try it.

i have yucky, long cycles, & really didn’t want DR inducing my periods, so i took vitex. it made a huge difference! and as a bonus, my skin had never looked better=) i’ve heard people refer to it as nature’s clomid, which sounds promising! good luck, i hope it helps for you!
