We’re meeting with the pastor to finalize our ceremony this weekend and I’m stumped for vocals.
My cousin, who is extrememly talented, is going to sing a song or two at the ceremony. The music director hasn’t been all that helpful – she basically said to pick some songs and then check with her that they are doable.
I’m having a hard time finding a song(s) that he can sing – I’m not really sure how open the church is to having secular music. Any suggestions?

Ave Maria? I went to a wedding that a organist and vocalist performed Ave Maria. It was gorgeous!

I’ve sung these for several of my friends religious (catholic) weddings:
Paul Stookey – The Wedding Song (There is Love)
Brandon Heath- Love Never Fails
Ron Harris- In This Very Room
Twila Paris- How Beautiful
Rascall Flatts- Bless the Broken Road
The only problem I run into at churches is that some require ALL live music– meaning a pianist or guitarist has to play along which is sometimes tough finding time to rehearse with them.
