One of my sorority sisters and best friends is an amazing vocalist as well as guitarist. She is classically trained, but her vocals are still a little ‘folky’ (Janis Joplin before the drugs?). Not sure how to explain it, but it’s beautiful and not too over the top or forced. Anyway, she’s singing an acapella version of Oh Heavenly Day during the ceremony and now I’m considering if she should sing during the processional as well. She’s up for anything! What do you think? And if she does, should she do that acapella as well? I’m lost on this one. I should add that if she does not sing, we’ll be using non traditional ceremony music.
