When I listen to a certain morning show on I Heart Radio app every morning, there is a song that plays during 2 of the 10 commercial breaks that makes me want to slap this bitch. It’s Kat Graham (whoever that is) and her song is something about graffiti. Her voice makes me feel violent. I cannot stand it. Not to mention, the song totally sucks (no offense to those who like it–we all have different tastes!)
The other person who comes to mind is Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland. How the eff did she win grammys??? Her voice to me is awful, obnoxious, and painful to listen to.
Whose voice do you hate??
I ask because it’s so interesting to me what people think sounds awesome versus terrible–obviously plenty of people LOVE Jennifer Nettles’ voice because they are huge fans and think she’s talented.

FH cannot stand Miranda Lambert. He says she’s too squeaky lol

Not a singer, but I hate when girls speak like they’re choking, gargling, a man, or violently ill. You know that deep raspy tryna-be-sexy voice?

Ohhhhhhhh how I wish you could hear my coworker’s voice!!! She’s in her 40’s but sounds like a child. I know she can’t help it, but sometimes you can tell it’s slightly exaggerated. ARGHH!

miley cyrus!!! ugh its like raspy or something. idk but i hate it.

I don’t like those little mousey voices. If you sound like you’re auditioning for the Chipmunks, you need to bring it down a notch.

Oh I know what you mean. One of my coworkers is SOOO mousey, but I say that beacuse she totally does it on purpose. When you talk to her 1:1, she’s normal, but when she’s in a meeting she gets very mousey and high pitched and baby-talks. It’s such an odd way to present herself.
Oh, and I was watching House Hunters International and this girl from Charleston was moving to Spain and she had a lovely southern drawl, except she did that question-inflection at the end of EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE SHE SAID.
“The bedrooms are a little small? I don’t know how I’d have a roommate? I was hoping to be closer to the city center? I’m just worried about the size of the kitchen?”

I pretty much hate when any woman is in a new relationship and when she gets on the phone with her new man she starts talking like a complete baby in a sort of whisper-y tone. I don’t know why women do this. I call it, “Kardashian Talk”. If you’ve ever seen the Kardashians, then you’ll know why. I guess people think it is cute, or something. My sister called me the night after my wedding and was talking so unusually weird, I almost screamed at her. Turns out she was with her new fling. I have seen almost every woman I know doing this. Weird.
There are some more specific voices that annoy me but I can’t think of them right this moment.

Farrah (is that her name) and her mom’s voice from Teen Mom. I usually don’t watch the show but did the other night because there was absolutely nothing on. Ugh… it was horrible.

@MrsDrRose612: I HATE the Sugarland girl’s voice! It sounds like she’s doing an impression of someone else’s terrible singing. Horrible.

THANK YOU. When I say that to people they are all “WHAT?? BUT SHE’S SUCH A WONDERFUL SINGER! JUST LISTEN TO THAT VOICE!!!”

My own voice when I hear a recording of myself. GAH!

I don’t mean to sound like a bitch, but the co-worker in the office next to mine has the most annoying “fake laugh” that drives me nuts. I just want to slap her. For laughing! What the hell is wrong with me?

oh god, me too come to think of it.
