Dress shopping has become so confusing for me I’m 5ft 1 and curvy and I’d love a fitted sexy dress, but I’m afraid that I’ll regret it and wish I had bought something more forgiving and A-line. What do you girls think? Also, I’m trying to loose some weight, but I have hypothyroid disease and I have to be realistic that I might not loose very much so I have to like the way it looks on me just the way I am:) I like these three dresses and would LOVE your oppinion! ah…sorry the pics are so big. Oh ya, and my wedding theme is going to be vintage.
Dress number one is a tara keely gown I adore! I love the lace! The only thing I would change is to shorten the bodice.
Dress number two is a Paloma blanca dress. It’s a really cute A-line that is super forgiving and gives me a great waist. It also has pockets!
Dress Number three is another Paloma Blanca gown. It’s super fitted, but I love the lace and it has buttons all the way down the back! I feel tiny and sexy in this dress, but I’m not so sure about my belly!
This is the headband that I bought (the ribbon is actually ivory) and I kinda want to wear a veil for the ceremony but I’m not sure.

#1 is definitely YOUR DRESS:)

I’m torn between 1 and 3… those styles are the best for you when all 3 are considered. 1 is classy and unique, and you look amazing, but #3 does some SERIOUS wow factor to your body shape!

#1 or #3. I don’t think #2 is flattering on you at all (sorry!). And I you definitely don’t need to lose any weight, you look amazing!

I love 1 & 3. Are these dresses in the size you would order, or are they sample sizes? I think 3 would be perfect if it were sized a bit differently.

I say #1 You look amazing in that dress!

I definitely think that you can pull of number 3!
My favourite is number two (because I love ball gowns) but if you’ve always wanted a fitted dress, I say go for it! and you can always chuck on some spanx if you’re feeling selfconcious!

I think #1 and #3 look VERY pretty on you! No need to feel self-conscious, you have the body to totally rock the fitted dresses!! 🙂

I think that the Tara Keely (number one) once fitted to your shape and height will look fantastic! The neck line really suits you 🙂

I think the first one looks great on you and sounds like it works with the look you’re going for. My initial hesitation was that I think the bodice is a bit too long, but when I read that you would shorten it, I was sold!

i may be alone here but i love #2!!!! or #1 – they are all such different styles – which one do you FEEL best in and what style best fits the idea in your head of your “perfect bridal look”?
p.s. love the sparkly headwrap!

All the dresses are sample sizes. Number 1 and 3 are clipped in the back and number 2 was the perfect size. I feel really bridal in 1 and 3, and number 2 feels fun and fluffy:) My Wedding venue is at the Capilano suspension bridge in BC Canada. It’s overlooking a canyon and has lots of huge old trees. There is an old world feel to the place and I’d like to incorporate that into my wedding.
