Normal is defined by the couple. Most couples have songs that are important to them, but you and your husband are not weird if you don’t have a song.

Think about love songs that speak to you. Ask your husband for his opinion.

You can also Google “wedding first dance songs”.

@mrstattoo10816:  You don’t need to have a song that you consider to be your and your husband’s special song to have a first dance, and, even if you did have a particular song that you considered to be special to you as a couple, you woudn’t need to choose that song for your first dance.

My husband and I never really had a song that we considered to be “our” song (though he did once give me a musical greeting card with a Rascal Flatts song that we both really like.)  We simply picked a song that we thought would be perfect for our first dance — “At Last,” by Etta James. (Since I didn’t get married until I was in my mid 40s, it seemed perfect for me. 🙂

That song is PERFECT for marrying “later” in life.

@mrstattoo10816:  I don’t think you need to have a special song in your relationship to have a first dance.  Having “your song” is more of a hallmark of young love, and not really as common among the 20+ set so I doubt anyone would be surprised.  Pick something fun to dance to and you’ll do great!
