Soo my fiance and I are runners, and we like to run together. We would like to personalize our vows at the end, but are having a hard time picking the wording.
These are the vows:
I, (name), take you, (name), to be my [opt: lawfully wedded] (husband/wife), my constant friend, my faithful partner and my love from this day forward. In the presence of God, our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and insert personalized line here.
We are deciding between: a) be your lifelong running partner, b) run through life with you, c) be your running partner through life
and then say ’till death do us part.
We simply cannot come up with a line better than any of those, and this ‘running’ doesn’t just mean the physical act. It means being side by side until we die. If you have any suggestions, or think one of these suffice, please help!
