The Boyfriend or Best Friend and I both have children from previous relationahips and I am wanting to include them in the vows. It’s not only the Boyfriend or Best Friend and I joining it is a comming together of two families..
This is what I have put together so far… thoughts, comments, and ideas all welcome!
Boyfriend or Best Friend, I promise to be a good and faithful wife to you, and also a patient, loving mother to DAUGHTER, caring for her and providing for her as my own. I promise to be her strength and her emotional support, loving her with all my heart forever.”
In the Name of God, I, Kamie with the permission and acceptance of my children, take you, Boyfriend or Best Friend, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death. This is my solemn vow.

Awww…. that is so sweet to include them in the vows. My friend just got married last fall and her now-husband said vows to her daugther; it was beautiful, I don’t think there was a dry eye.

Very nice touch. My Fiance (who has no children) will say vows to my son. Great way to include the kids.

LOVE IT!!! I have two daughters from my first marriage, when their father remarried, they weren’t included in the ceremony, just were the flower girls. They were hurt by it, my Fiance and I are going to be including them with us for sure!!!
