@iheartnerds: Instead of: I promise to be interested when you talk about geeky things I don’t understand. Could you say: I will do my best to listen intently when you talk about Call of Duty, Comicon and Xbox.(Or insert other geeky favorite here)

That way your not promising something you really cannot always stick to but saying that you will do your best to take an interest in something he loves as well as not just calling them geeky things but giving a description of the things he loves the most. It makes it more personal and will get a little laugh from those who know what these things actually are.

They’re sweet! But I think it should be OUR children, not “your” children.

I can’t think of any other suggestions right now that other Bees haven’t mentioned, but I just wanted to say that you should definitely include the part about promising to listen when he talks about geeky things. I think it’s so cute and definitely relevant!  Fi is the same! He has actually gotten me into a few games, but there are some that I just can’t get interested in. I really have to make sure I pay attention when he excitedly talks about Starcraft and Eve…. haha.

“At times, we have struggled but overcoming those struggles has only served to strengthen our bond.”

-Maybe change the word struggles to obstacles?  That way it doesn’t sound repetitive.
