So the Fiance and I are finally getting around to talking about our vows. We’ve agreed on a pattern – 4 ‘I love yous’ and 4 ‘I promise’. Not sure if we’ll be saying our vows separately, or do a duet style. But here’s mine. What do you bees think?
I love that you always make me feel better – that you do things like tuck the blankets around me when it’s cold, give me back rubs or just hold me whenever I want a hug.
I love you because you understand me, you accept me for who I am and love the “me” that I love- the good, the bad and the silly.
I love you because you are happy doing just about anything and it makes me happy to do just about anything with you.
I love that my idea of home is wherever you are – you are my home.
Today, I promise to stand by you, encourage you; dream, laugh and cry with you when times are good and not so good.
I promise to make you a priority in my life, to be patient and kind; to support you the way you’ve always supported me.
I promise to work hard at maintaining our relationship, compromise when we fight, and be your best friend.
My hope is to spend the rest of my days – hearing your thoughts, embraced in your arms, feeling your warmth, and planning the greatest adventures of our lives- this marriage and the family we create together. I promise that I will always be right here

@HeMadeMeWantTo: 😀 Thanks… I really am so nervous. It’s so hard to try and capture why Fiance is so important to me and how much I love him in just these few sentences.

@Fallicious1012: Thank you so much!
So the Fiance and I swapped phones last night and read other’s vows and I started crying like a baby. His was utterly beautiful and it meshed into a duet perfectly even though we didn’t discuss while writing it. Somehow we both just happen to say the same things.
Ahhh I can’t wait when we both are in front of the celebrant saying it to each other!!

Thank you all so much!! 🙂
It was really hard and I wanted something that would be true to us. Something that, 10 or 20 years down the line if and when we renewed our vows, would still hold true.
