For the past 3 days I have had massive diarrhea. I have lost about 4-5lbs in that short period of time and I know that’s not healthy. Today I’ve noticed when I go to the bathroom it’s more clear and less fecal matter. I wanna feel normal again and I hope I feel better by tomorrow since we’re going out of town for the weekend.
Any tips on what I can do to feel better?

Have you tried Pepto Bismol?

Go to the doctor! It could be nothing but it also could be something serious. The longer you wait the worse it could get.
But if you don’t want to go to the doctor quite yet try to restrict your diet. Try eating bananas, white rice, potatoes, steamed chicken, etc. You can find lists of foods to eat to help if you google search it.
I hope you feel better soon!

@huser2012- I haven’t I was trying to see if it would run its course and I would get better and it hasn’t. I do have some I will take if I don’t see any improvement before bed.
@Purple_Possum- I haven’t eaten much of anything today and while I haven’t been running to the bathroom like crazy today my stomach still feels all knotty

Toast, maybe plain eggs? (that’s what my Fiance swears by when he’s sick). Feel better!

Wow. Do you have a fever or other symptoms?
I would say, keep yourself well hydrated. Hope you feel better soon!

@Cyanfire- no no symptoms. I do have a runny nose. Darling Husband keeps asking me if I’m pregnant but AF just came for a visit not too long ago. I do plan on sending him to the store and buy me some gatorades and soups.

Try drinking gatorade to replenish yourself. Immodium (a OTC med) can also help with the diarrhea issue.

They say any time past 48 hours of consistent diarrhea you should go in and get checked out, I don’t think that sounds like a bad idea.
Good luck sweetie!

Drink a LOT. That’s a really easy way to get dehydrated and then you’ll just feel even worse. And yea, smart move is probably to see a doctor.
