I would LOVE to know the answer to this too! If it’ll help me get rid of this little tummy I have before my wedding I’ll be enthralled!

the most a belt could possibly do is create some muscles, but it wont get rid of fat.  If you are already very lean, it could create some definition by contracting them repeatedly (which is what you do when you do an ab workout) but it will not help you lose the fat that is preventing someone from see ab definition.

If it’s the kind I’m thinking of, I think you’re pretty much just losing water weight by sweating more in that area.

I use one when I do hardcore conditioning. I definitelty sweat a lot while wearing it. I use it mostly for back stability, but I do think it helps a bit. I can’t say for sure because the results I see could just be from pushing a sled with more than my body weight down the road! 😛

@Missus_LLC:  I used to wear one to the gym every day partly because I thought it would help me slim and mostly because I was embarrassed of my big belly so technically it would hold my belly in a little.  But in the long run, no it did not help me slim down in real weight. It is not worth being so uncomfortable in my opinion so I quit wearing it altogether.  I had to lose weight the hard way, working out and eating right.  LOL  I even tried the sauna suits as well and those are only temporary weight loss and in some cases…nothing for me not even water weight.  I’m still trying hard to lose some more weight though!

I’m looking into these too, mainly cause I’ve lost 30lbs and my tummy is saggy lol do these stay put? I’m afraid I’m gonna put it on and start running and then it will fly open lol.
