I voted for the original waist, because I think it’s most versatile. You can always add a taupe satin ribbon later, if that’s what you decide? I also prefer the original waistline versus the slightly dropped waist style of the third photo, I think the belt makes the dress more flattering. Also if you wanted to add a sash later, I think having that lace scalloping peek out from underneath might look a bit awkward.

And finally, re the beaded lace versus unbeaded – do you have swatches of what the beaded lace would look like? Is it crystal beaded or would it be tonal beading? I am all for embellishment personally, but it depends on the quality of the beading.

I agree with peonyinparis: stick with the original natural waist, and add a taupe sash later (I think the photo you posted looks really pretty). I don’t like the lace-style bodice in the last photo you posted because it looks too unfinished to me.

I do think beading can look great with a chiffon skirt, it all depends on how the beading turns out. I think delicate beading can look quite pretty with chiffon (and without looking out of place). It tends to look more grecian goddess or 1920s-inspired to me (both fabulous styles):

I like the original the most by far. It’s a really pretty dress!
