annalise9:  Did you customize it at all?  I know that when we ordered my ring online (not from James Allen) I got the order confirmation, a week later told it was being made, and then a few days later, told it was being shipped.

annalise9:

The site I chose from was Gemvara.

I could pick what stone I wanted (they have at least a dozen or so different stones) and then the metal.  I could not alter the setting itself, that was set, but everything else I could.  (I picked a solitaire, but there were several other settings and designs)

I chose iolite and white gold.  I actually spoke to them online and on the phone and they were very helpful in deciding what would be best.  I knew I wanted a purple gemstone, but they had huge variety of shades.  I chose a darker one.  This is what the stone looks like in real life.

For me, it took a wihle because my size was not a readily available size (size 3) so not only did they have to create the ring, but the mold as well.  Meaning any and all rings I may pick from their site may take a bit longer (no longer than two weeks), but just not as quickly as I would like.

Can you call up James Allen and ask?  I could always do that with Gemvara.  didn’t always mean they had the answer I wanted, but I would get updates. They would also email for any delays or hold ups or confirmations (of a shade of iolite), etc.

annalise9:  me too, a simple 6 prong knife edge solitaire but in 14k white gold. What are your diamond specs? 🙂 I know, April seems so long. I was going to go with Blue Nile and my ring would of been here by Monday, but I had cancelled that ordered since I saw the same specs in blue nile but  James Allen had it for less, so we went with them.. plus I kinda like their packaging A lot enter then BN, & they have free returns so it’s a win/win.

I got my ring 2 years ago and I dont remember exactly. It was a simple solitare also.  I want to say it took about a week for it to be set then shipped.  The good news in the shipping was 2 days. Just be aware you will have to sign for it when it is delivered. I cant wait to see pictures.

annalise9:  I have the 6 prong knife edge solitaire from James Allen and it took 13 days total (from ordering online to receiving it from FedEx). I live in Canada, though.

Mine took about 3 weeks to make and receive and that was semi-rushed (they couldn’t rush making it but they expedited the handling/approval and shipping. Some settings can be done faster, some not.

annalise9:  3/4 ct. Vvs2 clarity, K color, Excellent cut. I didn’t really see too much warmth to the diamond unlike the other k diamonds I saw. Lmk when you have your final confirmation of when it will ship! Lol I’m so impatient ugh
