Comments (for longer story if you wish):  I’m new to the waiting list and hoping for a proposal in the next 3-5 months. I’m confident it will happen, just a question of when now πŸ™‚ I have been lurking the bee for quite some time now but plan to be a little more active now that a proposal seems to be in the works.

We’ve had the talk and moved in together last February. We’ve both agreed we feel like more than “boyfriend and girlfriend”, that we are more serious than that. So just waiting, mostly happily, sometimes impatiently.

How you met: Plenty of Fish

Relationship length: This is where I’m going to get judged pretty hard… We’ve been dating for 2 months.

A few words to describe yourself: Quirky, Different, Indecisive, Silly, Stubborn, Affectionate, Particular

A few words to describe your SO: Creative, Funny, Passionate, Motivated, Loving, Sincere, Honest, Thoughtful

Guilty pleasures: Millionaire Matchmaker, SYTTD, a couple current top 40 songs, and most recently Weddingbee, hehe.

WaitingBee Words of Wisdom (brief sentence): Keep Calm and Lurk the Bee

Comments (for longer story if you wish): So, the other Waiting Bees probably don’t think I belong here, either because I’m quite young compared to most other Bees or because of my short relationship with my SO. As a result, I just want to say… When you know, you just know! After two weeks, my SO and I already knew we wanted to share our lives with eachother. It is the most perfect fit; we really do complete eachother. We’ve both been in very serious, longterm relationships before this, so its not as if we’re new to relationships (I’ve had one that was almost 7 years, that was months away from marriage. I realized I wasn’t in love and walked away, then dated quite a bit before meeting my SO. He was in a four year relationship, followed by a three year relationship that also almost ended in marriage before he also realized he was unhappy and left. He, too, dated a bit after that until we got together.). So we’re not naive and inexperienced in relationships. We’ve been there, done that, and despite being young and not having been together very long, we know we want to be together. We’ve already discussed life, a future, what we want in the longterm and a timeline of when we want it… We agree on everything. I don’t expect a proposal soon — currently all of our savings are going towards a downpayment on a house so we can move in together, so a ring isn’t a priority right now — but we’ve had conversations where HE has wanted to know all about the dream wedding I want, when I want it, etc. He even asked all about the ring that I want; in his phone, he has saved a note with all the details about my dream ring, including my ring size. He’s even picked out our wedding rings. Thus, I know he is serious, and I genuinely believe that once our house downpayment is together, he will be getting a ring. That’s why I’ve gotten myself added to the Waiting Bee list; I think sometime in 2014, I’ll be getting engaged! I’ve never been so happy in my life.

Comments (for longer story if you wish): My SO and I haven’t moved into the official engagement phase yet, but I’m the sort that likes to plan and think ahead (also the sort that doesn’t like to stress over things), so I’m starting to gather ideas now, before I have to start planning a wedding for real. Proposal is likely within the coming weeks or months though, so I don’t think I’m getting TOO far ahead of myself, lol! Looking forward to getting to know the other ladies on the boards!

How you met: Quite ironically, I met him at my ex boyfriends (high school boyfriend) house. His parents consider me a part of their family, till this day they still do. Even after their son and I broke up they still invited me over and I go to their house regularly. They have helped me in so many ways which I am so thankful for. One day I was at their house and my ex brought a friend over, we glanced at each other and that was it. After we got together, I found out that he did ask my ex who I was and asked him if it would be cool if we dated. A couple of days after I had seen him, I found him on facebook and started a conversation, he later asked me on a date to the movies.

Relationship length: 2 years and 8 months

A few words to describe yourself: Leo, shy, quiet, organized, controlling <—one of my flaws, challenging

A few words to describe your SO:  Virgo, loud, outgoing, charasmatic, handsome, charming, challenging.

Interests: DIY, crafts, reading, cooking, antique looking

Kids?/Pets?: One dog, 7 year old Maltese. He has a 3 or 4 year old Mini Pin and a cat.

Guilty pleasures: Starbucks secret menu cookies and cream Frappes

WaitingBee Words of Wisdom (brief sentence): Good things come to those who wait?

Comments (for longer story if you wish): According to our horoscopes, we are very much incompatable and I completely agree but opposites attract πŸ™‚ Even though we were both born in the same hometown, our families are very different, his family is from up North (Illinois), and yes I pronounce it the right way, a silent “S”, my family was born in the South. Both families have completely different veiws on many things which when we first got together, I thought was so strange and he thought the same way with me but like I said, opposites attract. We do not live together and dont plan on living together till we are married, thats just how I was raised πŸ™‚

Kids?/Pets?:     We have 1 crazy Black and Tan Coonhound/Lab mix that we adopted together.

Guilty pleasures:     Weddingbee.com (I have just recently caught wedding fever. I’ve always wanted to marry him, but recently it has taken over my brain a bit more.  That said, I come on here and just drool over everything instead of talking to him about it wayyyy too much.)

WaitingBee Words of Wisdom (brief sentence):     Be patient.  It can be hard watching all of your friends getting married, especially when they haven’t been in relationships as long as you have, but be happy for them and know your day is coming!

Comments (for longer story if you wish):

I never thought I would be someone that met my boyfriend online.  We met through mutual friends on Xbox Live.  We just clicked so well and spent far too much time sitting on our Xbox’s playing games together.  I was going to a college near his town to interview for a program and he decided he had to come meet me.  He came to the hotel my mom and I were staying at and met her.  He asked her if he could take me out, and she loved him instantly because him and his friend were funny, gave her hugs, and made her feel comfortable with us going out that night.  Him, his friend, and I just went out to eat and to a movie, but it was a great time; although, he did eat off of my plate without asking and I was absolutely astonished someone would ever do that, but I laughed and appreciated that he didn’t hold back.  Unfortunately the mutual friends didn’t approve of our relationship, which caused a lot of turmoil and we did lose friends over deciding to be together.  I feel guilty about that everyday, but when it is right it is hard to ignore it to make other people happy!

Comments (for longer story if you wish): Sooooo… my name says mrs and for some that might seem like bad luck but I am a firm believer of speaking things into existence and i know when i put positivity into the ether, positivity tends to find its way back to me… so here’s hoping and wishing.  We are  in a long distance relationship but unlike many long distance relationships on here, we are actually ok with that because thats how we started. Proposal is scheduled for 2014, it could be anytime including december 31 (we’ve looked at rings)

Comments (for longer story if you wish): My Boyfriend or Best Friend and I are currently doing long distance and have been for the past year. It’s difficult but great at the same time. I miss him and can’t wait to live in the same province as him and start to build our lives together. But at the same time, being long distance has made us make more effort to communicate more and realize how much we want to be together! We’ve been looking at rings together and talking about our timeline. We are aiming to get married some time early in 2015. Winter wedding, wahoo!!

Guilty pleasures: this website! The ring boards are the only thing keeping me sane as I wait for my radiant!

WaitingBee Words of Wisdom (brief sentence): not sure if this is words of wisdom, but I have been trying to make a conscious effort to not talk about the ring all the time. It got really bad recently, I was talking about it so much and my SO told me that he was feeling a lot pressure to make it perfect and it really stressed him out. I didn’t want this to be a bad experience for him, so I’ve been really keeping it on the DL for now.

Transitioning to short distance took some getting used to (its hard to prioritize schoolwork when he’s here!) but we’re making so much progress. I love seeing how we’ve both changed over the years! It’s kinda nice to do a lot of our adult “firsts” together πŸ™‚
