1. How long have you and your SO been dating?

On and off since high school, but this time around it’s been just shy of 5 years, and counting 🙂

 2. How old are both of you?

I am 27, he is 28

 3. How long have you been waiting?

We started seriously talking about it about 3 years ago or so – but ever since high school I’ve dreamed of marrying him, so anywhere from 3-12 years ago!

 4. Do you have a timeline (if so, what is it)?

We don’t have much of a timeline, the way I see it is we have the rest of our lives to spend together, rings will be nice, but we don’t need a big fancy wedding – the meaning behind the day we wed means more to us than an big expensive celebration 🙂

 5. Have you discussed or looked at rings with your SO?

We’ve both gone to look at rings and shared links of rings we like – I think he wants me to pick mine, but instead I’ll just choose a handful to show him and he can pick from those if he just cant decide on his own :p

 6. What ring do you want? *Post a pic if you want*

I love tri-stone rings with gems running down the band, like this beautiful set!

4. Do you have a timeline?

No, but he did tell me it would be “soon”.

5. Have you discussed or looked at rings with your SO?

yeah I sorted Picked out 2 rings which I had added my own ideas to and got him to go to an etsy jeweller with the designs. After that, I don’t know which one he has picked or if the alterations to the designs are possible.

6. What ring do you want?

i don’t have a pic as the design is in my head! I had picked a white gold ring with a square sapphire gemstone and the other was a white gold and ruby gemstone with moissanites.

 1. How long have you and your SO been dating?

A little over 3 years (living together for 2.5).

 2. How old are both of you?

I’m 29, and he’s 36.

 3. How long have you been waiting?

Probably realistically four months or so – we took a long time to work on our relationship.

 4. Do you have a timeline (if so, what is it)?

Yes! We are working on overall life budget, and in late 2016/early 2017 we’ll start designing the ring, and he’ll propose between April and September of 2017 (probably on the earlier side, because he really wants to buy a house and I don’t want to before we get engaged).

 5. Have you discussed or looked at rings with your SO?

Yes – we’re going to be doing a custom design, hopefully through Digby and Iona.

 6. What ring do you want? *Post a pic if you want*

I want a custom cathedral setting from Digby and Iona, with a 2.5-3.5 ct salt and pepper diamond, 6 prong setting, yellow gold.

duchessgummybunns :  I love them! They’re so dynamic (and it also doesn’t hurt that they’re not the price of “good” diamonds!)

 1. How long have you and your SO been dating?

14 months (since August 27, 2015)

 2. How old are both of you?

He is 36, I am 27.

 3. How long have you been waiting?

14 months…lol! We have known we want to get married since our first date, and I chose my ring 12 days later.

 4. Do you have a timeline (if so, what is it)?

Roughly in the next six months (by about March 2017 I hope)

 5. Have you discussed or looked at rings with your SO?

I went with a friend to get ideas so that ‘one day’ she could point him in the right direction, but then I found THE one and just ended up telling him so he would know haha. He had made so many marriage related comments I figured I might as well!

 6. What ring do you want? *Post a pic if you want*

1. How long have you and your SO been dating? One year, 9 months, 1 day!

 2. How old are both of you? Both 30

 3. How long have you been waiting? I would say just a month or so it’s become a real, imminent possibility

 4. Do you have a timeline (if so, what is it)? No timeline really, haven’t discussed it. I am thinking it would happen within a year.

 5. Have you discussed or looked at rings with your SO? I made a fleeting comment about not wanting a diamond which yielded some discussion about gemstones and the diamond market (what can I say, I’m pretty political) but nothing about style

 6. What ring do you want? *Post a pic if you want* NO IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a huge dilemma for me. Currently really into classic solitaire looks and simple vintage

1. How long have you and your SO been dating?  We’ve known each other for a year and three months.  Officially together for a year.

 2. How old are both of you?  We are both 33.

 3. How long have you been waiting?  I’ve been officially waiting for about 3 months.  We both agreed that after we hit a year, we knew we wanted to get married (well we knew before then, but wanted to make it through a year before even officially considering the next step.)

 4. Do you have a timeline (if so, what is it)? It should be in the next few months. Preferably before the end of the year.

 5. Have you discussed or looked at rings with your SO?  Yes.  We’ve looked at pictures together and he knows what I like and don’t like.  We have similar taste, and that makes me incredibly happy. I want him to surprise me with the final choice.

 6. What ring do you want? *Post a pic if you want*  I want a white gold ring that has a 1-1.5 carat diamond (princess).  I would also prefer a twisted band, but that isn’t absolutely a dealbreaker.  Something like this

 1. How long have you and your SO been dating?

4 years next week

 2. How old are both of you?

He’s 29, I’m 30

 3. How long have you been waiting?

2 years

 4. Do you have a timeline (if so, what is it)?

Roughly the end of the year.

 5. Have you discussed or looked at rings with your SO?

I showed him my Pinterest board with a couple of cool rings, but ultimately, I gave him my grandmother’s ring to give to me in order to alleviate the financial burden, and let’s be honest – to expedite the process.

 6. What ring do you want? *Post a pic if you want*

I like vintage rings that are one-of-a-kind, and that tell a story. I also like the idea of knowing that we’re not contributing to the unethical sourcing of stones. Ultimately, though, my biggest concern is feeling confident and secure in my relationship – knowing that we are a strong team, that we share the same core values, and we share the same dream for the future. A ring its just an object. It has no value until our story gives it meaning. So, to answer your question – I want the ring that he gives me, whatever shape or size it may be.

 1. How long have you and your SO been dating?

  3 years

 2. How old are both of you?

I’m 25 and he’s 26

 3. How long have you been waiting?

A week lol. (I’m the impatient type)

 4. Do you have a timeline (if so, what is it)?

Three years.

 5. Have you discussed or looked at rings with your SO?

Nope. I want the ring to be his choice. He knows what I like and I’m sure my best friend can point him in the righ direction if he panics.

 6. What ring do you want? *Post a pic if you want*

I have a few rings saved in a Pinterest board. But I don’t have “the ring” chosen out since I want him to choose it. The ones I have saved are silver, small and delicate.
