1. Are you expecting a proposal soon, by when?
Yes! Well, i was expecting a proposal by the time we go on our vacation to Mexico at the end of January, but since he hasn’t ordered the ring yet, and was told there is a 3 month wait time….i’m not so sure! but within the next 3-4 months, unless we find another jeweller here that has a shorter wait time on their Verragio’s 🙂
2. How long have you been waiting?
A couple months shy of 6 years we’ve been dating, but i’d say i’ve been officially “waiting” and expecting a ring for about 3 years now….
3. Has engagement season been difficult for you?
Every month that goes by is difficult for me, it seems to be “engagement season” always, especially with Facebook constantly reminding me of others’ engagements and marriages! Sometimes i get a bit moody and pouty, but i try to keep that to myself, because i know the proposal is coming soon!
4. What are you getting your partner for Christmas?
We’ve decided that we don’t need more “stuff”, so we’ve agreed to save the money we’d spend on gifts, and book a trip together instead! We would much rather do stuff together than buy each other things. We did set a small gift limit though, so that we’d have something to open from each other at his parents’ place for xmas, so i bought him a Saddleback leather wallet and matching luggage tag to go with the Saddleback luggage i bought him last year 🙂
5. What do you want for X-mas? (Other than a ring LOL).
Since our gift limit is small, i’d love it if he got me a pair of Sorels or some more workout clothes! ( we are both powerlifters, lol)
6. Post a pic of the ring you want, and its stats if you know them!
My dream ring is the Verragio Parisian 107R, in white and rose gold, with a 1ct center stone ( diamond or moissanite, i’m trying to convince him that moissanite is the way to go for us! i love a colourless stone, but it doesn’t NEED to be diamond, i love the sparkle of moissanite JUST as much). SO loves this ring too because he wants a rose gold wedding band, and this has bits of rose gold, so it would “tie the two together” 🙂
