No longer a waiting Bee but the only thing I prepared in advance was having my nails done.  I didn’t even care about an outfit because we were on vacation in blazing hot Key West.  Shorts and tank for me.

Nail appointment, dress up, and enjoy the moment! I know it’s tough, but try not to tell your friends the date. I knew exactly when my ex fiance was going to propose, I told my friends and they all kept texting me, “did he ask yet?” It almost ruined the actual proposal. Good luck!

1. Freak out

2. Do my nails (or possibly get them done professionally)

3. Finally get that haircut I’ve been putting off due to laziness

4. Also do the laundry that I’ve been putting off so I have something cute (and clean!) to wear

5. Keep up with my skincare routine

Haha when I spell it all out I realize how much I need something external to motivate me! Oops.

poppy77 :  Very very smart but just as a person with bangs, especially, I would NOT get a trim unless I 500% needed one. I just had someone redo my bangs two weeks ago and even though they’re coming into their own, they’re still not back to being my normal style. ;P In that respect, I think I planned the haircut right for the holidays.

For that same reason, knowing there’d be a lot of priceless pictures taken, I avoided a haircut right before SO’s and my trip to Paris, and even though I look a little mangy-banged in a few of our pictures, I’d rather I looked like normal-ol’-unkempt me than have my hair awkwardly short and overshaped.

I’m sure OP knows how long her style takes to wear in, but even if she’s a person without a high-maintenance style, I’d recommend no more than the lightest trim the dresser’s willing to give.

Second vote for keeping up the skin care regime. I always get break outs when something stressful is happening and I think I would be feeling pretty on edge with anticipation! good luck! Looking forward to your proposal story! I hope your toe is ok! surprised

Get your nails done, plan a super cute outfit, and make sure your hair & MU are on point!

Also, don’t get your hopes up.  He could just want to have a nice, special lunch after your being out of town.

Oh god, get my hair done, I haven’t had it done since June and as a girl with highlights I feel like a hot mess! And get my nails professionally done…I hope I don’t know in advance but I also hope these things are just magically done! I hate seeing engagement ring selfies with bad nails, it’s like a nightmare lol. I know it can be a surprise for most people and I want to be surprised too but now that I know it might be some time in the next couple months, I feel like I need to have my nails done perfectly at all times haha.

I cannot make up my mind between bare nails or a classic french manicure. Recently I have started paying more attention to my hands. Gentle exofoliation followed by massage using a lemongrass and lemon hand cream. Smells absolutely diiviiiine.

Apart from that, I would exfoliate my body using LUSH Buffy, dump a dollop of OUAI hair conditioner in the shower and try to get more sleep!
