I may or may not have accidentally seen in SOs phone that he bought a ring while I was out of town last week!!! Hopefully he doesn’t make me wait too much longer… I’ve already been officially waiting for a year and a half (since he started seriously talking about marriage/our future/our wedding).

Our anniversary is June 8… so hopefully it is by then, and not after… or else I will die! lol

LeonardLady:  Haha. We’ve had plenty of serious conversations sober, especially regarding our future. Considering we are in our late 20s/early 30s adult conversations are not exactly a difficult point. We were just celebrating because I had finally received my CPA license after waiting for months for it to go through! So naturally our conversation went to future career moves, where we think we will be, what opportunities we have.

My company has a 3 month secondment opportunity in Australia which I would be eligible for next summer and my company will pay for spouses to fly over and visit. This basically had us agreeing that we will most likely plan a 2015 wedding.

I know he already has the family heirloom ring and I saw he was looking at the settings he asked me to send him on his browser this weekend. For a long time it hasn’t been a matter of “if”, it’s a matter of “when”. It’s nice to see him making moves, and it’s nice to have a time frame in mind as well ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey everyone! So my SO has been talking a lot about marriage in the last week or so, hinting at things, and unfortunately (like I said in an earlier post) I came across an email I wasn’t supposed to see which showed me he had at least ordered my ring.

Well everyone at work had been saying all last week that they thought he would be proposing this weekend. OF COURSE he didn’t, and what was even better is that his best friend surprised everyone and proposed to his SO at his graduation party. At that point I hit up the open bar, clearly. This waiting mess is totally for the birds!

My Girlfriend has always said that before she would propose she would want to take a weekend or two away to herself to really contemplate and think, just to reflect on life and everything. Well last night as we were laying down for bed she brought up the future and said she’s been wanting to plan a weekend away… I am seriously excited! That and the fact that the ring is in the house has nearly driven me crazy. Needless to say I’ve been trying to focus all of my energy into anything but thinking about getting engaged, haha. It’s gonna be an anticipating wait.

So, I know I am a little late on this thread, but I think I may be getting engaged in the next couple of months. I have been waiting about a year now and the anticipation is overwhelming.

This weekend I will be going out of town to visit one of my best friends. My boyfriend came home the other night and asked if I was still going for sure. I told him yes and he said “Good, I am going to go shopping with my mom.” Now, to some of you that might be normal, but my boyfriend rarely shops and never with his mother, which of course brought on the 20 questions from me. Long story short, he ended up telling me they will be going ring shopping but not to get my hopes up. Obviously, my hopes were up the second I heard the words “ring shopping.”

Now, I just need to bite my tongue and try to focus my attention elsewhere so I don’t ruin this for him. AHHHHH!!! I am so excited.

Best of luck to all of you waiting bees. I can’t wait to read the proposal stories.

FutureMrsJefferson:  I can totally relate to that. Unfortunately, I think mine might be closer to July. I hope I don’t go crazy before then.

tea-and-books:  Your ring sounds like it will be beautiful in appearance as well as sentimentality.

NotSoPatientlyWaiting:  Thanks! I think he might propose in the next week or so! He told me that it is finished and all paid for, he is just waiting to pick it up because he doesn’t want it in the house lol! I am super excited, just gotta…..wait. Sigh.
