On a late night stroll through a park/garden/something with twinkle lights or antique street lamps… maybe even when it’s misting or lightly snowing outside so that the mist reflects in the lights.

@Taylor4: I don’t have a dream proposal!

My only “dream” is to have him on one knee (preferably with a ring) asking me to marry him.

@kmsw:

Waiting bees: What’s your DREAM proposal?

Mine: winter. Holidays. Outside. Snow.

That is EXACTLY what my dream proposal would be too!  I definately want it to just be the two of us!

@Waterfall:

Think I’m in the same boat.. as long as it’s in private and not in front of spectators I think I would be happy with anything/anywhere! No expectations, no disappointments!

Totally private, not feeling like I need to call people immediately so we can enjoy some just us excitment first.  I would prefer it not be on a holiday, so I have a separate day to celebrate something!  I would love to get flowers, because he’s only given me flowers once, on our third date, plus he owes me some for not taking me to the Dahlia Barn earlier this year!  And finally, I mostly just want to hear what he feels, since he is not the type to really talk feelings much.  Oh, and a surprise.  I love surprises, and he knows it!

Him: Hey, want to be married to me?

Me: Sure! *puts on ring*

-life together ensues-

Disneyland. But somehow private and still secretly photographed. (I don’t think these 3 things can possibly coexist, this is why it’s completely a dream.)

Really though, I would love if my family could someone be involved. Not in the proposal itself, but soon afterwards. They are spread out all over the world, so it would mean a lot to me to be able to come home all newly engaged and SURPRISE!, be able to celebrate with my family. This is highly unlikely, which makes me a little sad. But hey, that’s what the wedding’s for right?! 🙂

@Miss.PeanutButter: funny you mentioned Disneyland. The mister and I were talking about going to WDW and he casually mentioned how people get engaged there all the time, right out the blue. I don’t think we’ll be able to make the trip but it did make me smile that he said that!

Anywhere, any time before the end of the year.  At one of our favorite romantic spots would be nice, but at this point I wouldn’t care if he did it at Hyperion Sewage Treatment Plant.

Oh yeah, and for my part, I wouldn’t want to have a waiting-related meltdown for at least a few weeks before it happens.  Tongue out

A proposal period..jK My dream proposal would be a beautiful outdoor candlelight dinner with a carriage ride to follow! Then a little stroll to a significant location! With epics immediately following!Can’t a girl dream! *sigh*

Hmmm, well I won’t mind a public proposal, as long as it’s a somewhat intimate setting and not something ridiculous like a flash mob in the middle of the mall, haha!

It probably sounds a little cheesy, but every time I see a hot air balloon in the sky I tell SO how cool I think it would be to take a ride in one. A couple months ago he agreed it would be really neat, and said maybe for our anniversary we should try to do that. Secretly, though, I think it would be super romantic to incorporate our hot air balloon ride into our proposal!

Also, I’ve hinted to him a few times that I’d REALLY like to go see the rose gardens and botanical gardens in our area (I’ve never been), something as simple as that would be a perfect setting for me

@MisfitPrincess: I did a hot air balloon ride this summer, and it was AMAZING.  Totally worth doing some day.  It’s amazingly peaceful, considering you’re essentially sitting under a flamethrower.
