Well, one of my very good friends got engaged tonight! I would be jealous, but that would be terrible considering she’s dated this guy for 5-6 years now. They might have even been dating for longer than that. Anyway, they’re in New York for Christmas, and he proposed in front of the Rockefeller Center tree. The ring is absolutely stunning! I am ecstatic for her!

I never have posted on the “waiting chats” because they always seemed so long and I felt like no one would ever see/care about my posts! But this one is shorter and newer, so I’m going to give it a go! haha
SO and I have been together for two years now. We bought a house together in April, and have had many wedding/marriage/life talks. He knows the custom ring that I want (he asked me, so I showed him lol). I am just waiting for it to happen! He keeps giving me hints that it will happen probably within a years time… but never will give me a specific timeline (because that ruins the surprise). I’m really hoping that it will happen sooner rather than later.
I know it wont happen around the holidays because he has told me that is too cliche. Argh. haha
Anyways, for the longest time, I was a really good waiter, no problem at all! But the past month or so I’ve been super ticky about waiting. Everything is getting to me. It just kinda stinks when you’re ready for something, but you have to wait for the other persons personal timeline to catch up. Its just so stagnant. BUT today is a normal day, no waiting woes 🙂 haha

Eek, yeah… no thanks on the promise ring! If your friend wants one just so she can have a ring, more power to her, but I want the real thing that means YES I WANT TO MARRY YOU.
It really stinks when those opportunities pop up that make you think “OOH THIS COULD BE IT!” and then he says something that just shoots down all hope. Been there many times!

Since your SO said that it’s too cliche to propose around the holidays, my squirrelly brain would be spinning and thinking- he’s just trying to throw me off! He’s going to do it. Maybe a New Year’s Eve proposal? I don’t think it’s as cliche as Christmas. Besides- I would totally faint dead away if my guy proposed in front of this beautiful tree we decorated together.
I was very clear about the promise ring, no thanks!!

My SO has said the same about holiday proposals.
Now I’m on holiday for two weeks I know it’s going to creep into my thoughts more. Work keeps it out for the most part!

my SO also said this! so where are all these men who think it’s a good idea then?

Something’s happening… went to type in hotmail on SO’s laptop last night (mine is broken) and when I typed the h in, hsamuel came up in his browsing history! When I mentioned this he just said ‘I might or might not have been browsing’.

My SO handed me a small box wrapped up and said he couldn’t wait until Christmas. He wanted me to open it so I read the card. “in sickness and in health”. Really?! Is he that oblivious about how this comes off? Oh men…

Merry X-mas to all the bees and waiting ladies!
As expected no proposal for me, however my manfriend <3 says its coming! I feel anxious and have decided to focus towards studying, working out and eating healthy!

I decided to talk to my SO last night so I asked him what sort of time frame he thinks he will be able to propose in and he told me “I don’t know, why are you asking”. So I reminded him that in July 2013 he suggested we get married by the end of the year. Then he just began to become irritated and told me he didn’t know again and for me not to worry about it. So that conversation left a lot to be desired
