Bees how do you get by waiting for your wedding photos? We were married March 25th and the wait it killing me!
My photographer is slow, but very talented so we kept with her. She has posted a few sneak peak photos since the wedding, but recently has begun posting other weddings that took place after ours. The wedding a week before ours had their images returned almost 3 weeks ago. Our contract doesn’t specify return time, but she said she should be quicker than peak season which was ~2 months. I had hoped to make photo books for Mother’s Day but the printing/shipping deadline is approaching.
When would it be appropriate for me to ask?

It takes an average of 6-8 weeks to get wedding photos back. I probably wouldn’t ask until at least 6 weeks have passed.
I was also very anxious to get my pictures back! Luckily, I had lots of guest photos to hold me over.

It doesn’t hurt to ask but I would do it VERY deferentially at this point, like “we’re so excited to see them and were wondering what your time estimate was so we don’t bug you too soon” or something. That reminds her about you without being too pushy.
Of course I’m not one to talk because my photographer just opened a restaurant and photography is not his priority anymore -we were married in November and just got our photos (not even our high res photos -just the watermarked low res ones) on Friday. Almost 6 months! We were kind of ready for that though because we went through this same song and dance with him with our engagement photos.
