I know around here many of us are in the “waiting” phase while our lucky SOs are in the “planning” phase. If you were the one proposing what would you do??? Let’s plan instead of waiti at least for a few minutes…
For me I am going to pretend I am the boy version of me and my SO is the female version of him. (Reason of switching genders in my mind is that we are very into traditional gender roles and me actually proposing wouldn’t be right for us).
Family is a huge part of his life so I would propose to him in front of his family. The upcoming family events we have are 1) His neice’s 1st communion at the end of April and 2) His dad’s birthday at the beginning of June. I wouldn’t want to take away from his neice’s big day but I’m sure his dad would love an engagement on his bday. So that is when I would do it! His family has a beautiful lake house in the mountains so I would try to arrange it that we went there for the bday, and then at sunset after dinner I would take him out on the dock (which is in view of the outdoor dining area where the family would be, but not listening distance) and propose there. I would task his sister with taking photos 🙂
And just thinking about which day would work best really makes the waiting just fly by… like I feel like AHH i cant wait until June! But if I was proposing to him waiting until June would feel just fine. Funny how that works!

Cute idea…assuming I had the extra cash on hand, I would plan a trip to Iceland for the two of us, since we have a lot of memories travelling there together. There was a certain spot there that has a beautiful view, and a very tiny, old-fashioned church. It was when I was there that I first realized I wanted to get married to him, and we both thought it was a beautiful day, so I would take him back there and propose to him!

I would have proposed in Highline Park in New York when we were there three years ago if it had been up to me!:)It had just opened and there wasn’t anyone up there but us. We went for five days to NY and just toured around Manhattan, best trip ever! that, or if i had to do it now, i would go to the old historical church by his parents’ farm and propose there, lots of family history for him there, in the middle of the pretty prairies! 🙂

I would propose up north this fall at our favorite place in the world, and where we would want to get married if we decide on destination. Maybe he will do this for me! But probably still one year from right now is more like it 🙂

If I were going to propose, I’d be having a nervous breakdown. It’s such a big deal, and I don’t handle pressure very well. 😉
Seriously though, if I had the money I’d take him on a trip to Ireland (he’s always wanted to go), and we’d have a romantic day together seeing everything he’s always dreamed of seeing. Then I’d take him out to a nice dinner. When we got bak to the hotel I’d pour champagne and cuddle up with him and then finally pop the question. I know we’d both prefer a private, romantic proposal.

I like this idea. Although I don’t think that I would be the one to propose in my relationship, I love planning surprises and presents for my partner. I think I’d plan a lovely weekend getaway to somewhere we’d never been before- SO loves to travel. I’d pretend it was a spontaneous kind of road trip, but secretly I’d have found the perfect scenic view and romantic inn to stay in, and I’d enjoy the hell out of knocking his socks off with a gorgeous gold watch or something.

We like to go hiking together a lot and I think it would be fun to propose at the top of one of our usual hikes. It’s one that we tend to be the only people at the top…not a fan of a public display and neither is he. Then every time we hiked it would be a reminder. 🙂

I’d take him on a hike–there’s a gorgeous one behind our house–and propose when we reach the top. All you can see is ocean (we live right on the coast) and the tall grass is blowing around. And actually, if we went soon, we might even see some gray whales as they migrate past us!
