Hi, everyone! I am a newbee to the site. 🙂
I am eagerly expecting my boyfriend to propose very soon! We have been dating for close to two years, and for awhile we both knew we saw ourselves getting married. Over the last month or so, the talk became less “someday” and more “when will be a good time?” Anyways, today we went and looked at rings in person! We had been looking online and leaning in the direction of ordering a moissanite ring, but we decided to visit Helzberg in person to get my finger sized, and to actually see styles I liked in person. I turned out to have their sample size (size 7, yay!) so I got to try on all the rings to my heart’s content! We ended up loving a simple halo ring there, and when we got back to my apartment, we discussed our options. He ended up going on my laptop then and there and ordering the ring from Helzberg. Perhaps a bit untraditional, but I loved it- it was really sweet. And seriously, he looked so happy when I was trying on rings in the store. It made me emotional to see how excited he was, and how much he wanted to pick out the best ring for me.
So there’s a bit of my story! I know he ordered my ring, and I even know what it looks like, and now I will be going crazy with anticipation waiting for the proposal. I know he wants to do it in a very special, romantic way, but we have plans to visit my friends and relatives around the 10th of March, and he has indicated he wants to be engaged by then so we can surprise everyone. Has anyone been in a similar situation? When I am excited about something (like, ahem, an engagement ring) I am super impatient by nature, so I am hoping this wait would be too difficult!
