Oh, and the “why don’t you propose to him” question.  There is no answer to that – I just don’t want it that way.

I hate it when my customers ask me about my husband and I’m like yeah… I’m not even engaged… Thanks for reminding me.

Most of them know now not to say that until I have a ring on my finger. Tongue out

Ohh my goodness am I glad you guys can relate! I was getting used to my family poking at me about “when’s he gunna propose” etc. Now HIS family (not immediate but relatives) has started! Over Christmas his uncle introduced me to his father by saying “so-and-so’s girlfriend…WIFE if he’d ever get off his a–!”. It was funny but SUCKED at the same time. Even some coworkers keep asking me!

I also can’t stand that SO sends giant mixed messages, ie says we don’t have the money, get’s a giant promotion and raise, and spends it on stupid stuff! All his reasons, to me, don’t seem like reasons (other than “I’m not ready”).

Anybody ever get frustrated with the “I’m not ready” response when they act completely ready? We’ve been together 3 years, living together for 1.5 years, and act completely married. We share chores, bills, responsibilities, and are extremely happy with our relationship. Therefore…I DON’T UNDERSTAND! Lol, sorry for the long rant!

I love when I talk about my future with my SO and some random person at work says “you’re not even engaged yet, are you?”. As though they don’t know!!! Grrrrrrrr. Or people at work who say “what’s he waiting for??”. Well isn’t that the million $ question, why didn’t I think of that!!;-p. Okay one more “don’t worry, you’ll be next” obligatory comment made toward me when someone gets engaged!! Ugh!!!
