But who knows, perhaps there are some waiting some some of you ladies aren’t familiar with, yet! Music is the best form of expression. I’ll start with a few of my favorites:
“Never Be Ready” by Mat Kearny: “We’ll never be ready if we keep waiting for the perfect time to come. Won’t be steady, never be ready. . .”
“Wait For You” by Elliot Yamin: “So why does your pride make you run and hide? Are you that afraid of me?. . .So baby I will wait for you, cause I don’t know what else I can do.”
“Love Story” by Taylor Swift: Specially these exact lyics, “I got tired of waiting, wonderin’ if you were ever comin’ around. My faith in you was fading. . .I keep waiting for you but you never come. Is this in my head? I don’t know what to think. He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said, ‘Marry me, Juliet, you’ll never have to be alone. I love you and that’s all I really know. I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress. . . “
“Single Ladies” by Beyonce: “Cause if you liked it, then you shoulda put a ring on it!”
“Just A Dream” by Nelly: “I shoulda put it down, shoulda got that ring.”
“Straight Up” by Paula Abdul: “Now straight up tell me do you really wanna love me forever? Or am I caught in a hit and run?”
“What If” by Jason Derulo: “Picture me on one knee, with the perfect diamond ring. We just met, but if you said yes we’d have our wedding on the beach. It could happen: raise three kids and grow old oh so happily.”
“Objection (Tango)” by Shakira: “Objection! I don’t want to be the exception to get a bit of your attention. I love you for free and I’m not your mother. . .but you don’t even bother.” Good for a pissy waiting day when you want to put down your foot and say, “MARRY ME! I take care of you, feed you, love you and I deserve a damn ring!!”
Those are just a couple of the ones I personally like to listen to. Maybe I gave you some good suggestions for some waiting music that you can relate to! What about you ladies? What songs help you?
