Sorry to hear you’re going through this. Can I ask why you don’t want the D & C? It seems like it would be a lot less hassle.

Friday was a rough night for me.. And probably Darling Husband and Momma! Felt good all day and was bleeding very minimally, that night I went to the bathroom and realized that I had a peace of tissue or a large blood clot stuck… Sorry if tmi… Half out half in and I couldn’t push it out, it was the first time my emotions got the best of me, and admittedly I lost it. After turning Darling Husband away I called Momma and after she insisted, I told her she could come over.. I went outside and tried walking around the yard in hopes that it would help, then got on the elliptical…. But it all proved to be too much and just made me exhausted. Ended up having a small piece break off, but it’s still there..
I called and talked to a nurse last night and I should hear from her this morning after she talks to the on-call dr, I think the plan is to get another dose of the RX, and even though I will have to endure those cramps again it should be all I need to expel the remaining pieces…
Saturday night – I decided to go ahead and go to the ER, but only to see if once they saw me and checked my vitals that they would prescribe another does…. $100 later and the ER Dr. tells me that even though my vitals are great that they have to go by what the on call OB advised over the phone… wow oh wow was I angry ..
Now this morning – Just saw the Dr. She did a pelvic exam and was able to remove a little tissue that was blocking my cervix, said that maybe her agitating the cervix will help.. She Also called in a RX for antibiotic to start taking as a precaution.
I will go Wednesday to get my blood drawn to check my HCG levels and then Thursday she will give me another dose of the RX to help dilate my cervix so I can finally end this saga…
I am still frustrated, but do feel a little better just knowing Thursday she will give me another dose.

@solidarity: The idea of them scraping my baby out I feel would be worse than any of this, also the potential scarring, although at this time we do no plan to try again, I would hate to add another hurtal to our problems. All that aside I have a $2500 deductible. To have to pay that and not have a cuddly baby to carry home just seems sooo wrong.

Quick update just to not leave this thread unfinished, I never recieved an additional dose as they measured my HCG levels and they had dropped quite a bit. My HCG levels did not go back to zero untill August 21st.
We have decided not to try again and I now Mirena.
Thank you all again for all of the love and support.
