Age: I am 31, and my Darling Husband is 35.

When Will You TTC: We are starting this summer, but are still deciding on the exact month.  We will definitely have started by July though.

What Are You Doing Now to Get Ready:  I am taking prescription prenatals, doing a lot of research, finishing all of the house renovations we want to get done, saving money, charting my cycles.

What is your favorite thing about your SO?:  I love how intellegent and curious he is.  I also love how involved he is with his and my family.

I have a question from the previous thread…. What are all these Facebook groups people keep talking about.  I would love to find one in my area!

Age: I’m 26, Darling Husband is 31

When Will You TTC: We are basically NTNP right now, will get more serious about BD timing, etc if we don’t get pregnant by Fall 2013.

What Are You Doing Now to Get Ready: Took Mirena out in January, prenatal vitamins, trying to eat better, charting temps and cervical fluid. I have some OPKs too, but I’ve yet to get a + OPK. Oh, and I stalk the #[email protected]% out of birth stories pregnancy info.

What is your favorite thing about your SO?: Everything! Honestly, he’s amazing. Funny, smart, hard working snuggly, and I genuinely have the best time whenever I’m around him. I’m such a lucky girl.

When Will You TTC: September 2012. 180 days till the start of the first cycle! I was trying to convince him we should have an anniversary baby the other day though…no such luck!

What Are You Doing Now to Get Ready: Taking prenatals, been charting for over a year now, reading pregnancy books, and pinning useful baby things on Pinterest (obviously very important). I already eat pretty healthy and I want to get into very good shape before TTC. I started in January, but had surgery a month ago so I’m still healing from that. But once I’m ready, watch out gym!

What is your favorite thing about your SO?: I love how handy he is. Seriously, our completely renovated basement in our last house looked awesome! I also love how much he loves my family and wants to move closer to them, because they are super important to me. I just love how much he loves me! πŸ™‚

@onyx81:  I think a lot of them are called “mom-2-mom” on line, also the store “Once Upon a Child” sells used baby stuff.  Google used baby gear and your area- out here there are a few cosignment shops and on line there a lot that specialize in high-end stuff, mostly stollers/prams http://www.storkbrokers.com/

I plan on buying a lot of the big stuff used on line or in person and maybe registering  at like Target so people get the idea of what we prefer for the smaller things; clothes, etc. (we don’t have a big circle of friends here- so not having a baby shower, but we both have an extended family that might want to get us something.)

Also (here comes liberal hippie talk stop here if you can’t respond nicely or be quiet) we are raising our child fairly gender neutral.  They will have a male or female name and are free to choice what they like, but as infants we aren’t allowing any princess, pink, tutus/onesies that say “spolied” or “Sexy” just as much as we won’t be allowing a boy to wear a shirt that says “watch out girls” or “heart breaker.”  Anything we recieve like that will be donated, so if we can keep the registry gender neutral we are hoping to not recieve this.  I found quite a few w/ cursing words SMH.

Ok, I’m a serial lurker but will bite on this one!

Age: 30, Darling Husband is turning 30 in a couple weeks

When Will You TTC: We’ve agreed on June-ish when I’ll go off the pill and see how things go, he doesn’t want any “performance anxiety” so if I chart I’ll keep it to myself.

What Are You Doing Now to Get Ready: I’ve been taking prenatals and folic acid for a few months and have a yearly dr appt at the end of March where I’ll talk to my obgyn about the plan.

What is your favorite thing about your  SO?: He truly cares about making me happy, and loves to make me laugh.

Yay! Part 2 already, turns out there are a lot of us waiting πŸ™‚

Age: 25, hubby is 28

When Will You TTC: Im on my last pack of BC and then I’m supposed to have one cycle off before we try, per my doc. Which works out because I’d also like to avoid a December birthday. I know that’s kind of silly to think it might happen the very first month we try but my family is super fertile!

What Are You Doing Now to Get Ready: Prenatals, trying to get in shape, reading obsessively

What is your favorite thing about your SO?: He is so funny and easy going. He’s an incredibly hard worker and is so dedicated to anything he puts his mind to.

So is there anyone else hoping for a certain time of year? I’d basically like to avoid November-January for my sake and my future child’s sake. There was a post about this a while back. I’m sure if I don’t get pregnant in a certain amount of time I will no longer care, but I’m just sharing what I think would be ideal.

@laaiinn:  Yup avoiding July and August- to be ready to pop and handling heat and humidity sounds like the 6th layer of hell IMO.  So if we don’t get BFP by Oct we are waiting 2 months to try again.

Age: 30

When Will You TTC: in a week, but technically not for another month because we’ll miss O this month – kind of just a “practice run” with little chance we’ll get pregnant this month hehe

What Are You Doing Now to Get Ready: pre-natals, excessive reading, watching every episode of One Born Every Minute I can find (it’s actually changed my birth plan) and I just started using a saliva ovulation kit but had a weird reading today :S back to no ferning when I’ve had 3 partials – I should O tomorrow-ish.

What is your favorite thing about your SO?: he is the kindest most caring guy I’ve ever met, AND he’s all mine πŸ™‚

@aliciapdx:  I don’t blame you. Luckily for me, the climate is pretty moderate so I’m not tooo concerned about that. December is a crazy time of year for me at work, so I don’t want to be giving birth or be huge and uncomfortable during nov-dec.  And I also don’t want my child to have the dreaded holiday time birthday. January would be okay but that would mean being 8/9 months pregnant during my busiest time of year which definitely isn’t ideal as I stand all day.

Age: 27, Fiance is 39

When Will You TTC: Officially, on our honeymoon, December 2013. HOWEVER! I think we will start Not Not TTC after the wedding in August πŸ˜‰

What Are You Doing Now to Get Ready: Nothing… Just thinking about it :p I am not on the pill or any other method of birth control. So I’m hoping it won’t be too hard to conceive. Will have to look into pre-natals soon, I guess…

What is your favorite thing about your SO? I love how he compliments me so well πŸ™‚  I don’t mean he gives me complements, but he gives me what I need when I need it!

  • Wedding: April 2014

Age: I’m 21, Fiance is 24 πŸ™‚

When Will You TTC: We plan on October this year – after our overseas holiday. After thinking about it though, we may wait until January seeing as my birthday, Christmas and New Years will be massive give aways if I’m not drinking!!! And I really don’t want anyone to know until that full 12 week mark.

What Are You Doing Now to Get Ready: Not too much right now, trying to get into an exercise routine. By May, we will both be taking vitamins to ensure optimal health for us both, as well as all the usual tests on the 20th of this month. I have a couple of cysts on my kidney so I want to make sure thats still clear and has no concerns. Also in May, we will stop using depo shot and move to BCP to give my body time to rid itself a bit more of the depo as well as reduce side effects of stopping. Then in October BCP stops too!!!

What is your favorite thing about your SO?: How caring and supportive he  is. Sometimes it can be his worst enemy because he does/says so many things that make me imagine him as a father so it makes waiting even harder!!! I also love the way nothing phases him too much, whatever happens in life he doesnt stress (opposite of me!) and just deals with it all calm and collected! He’s just Mr. Perfect for me!
