I’m getting so impatient! My charts are usually easy to read and I stay on track pretty well, but this travelling thing totally through me off! Of course it would give me issues the cycle before we TTC! I’ve never wanted AF so bad, but it could be another 5 days off!

@PunkinLover:  When I switched from the pill to the ring I actually didn’t have any side effects thankfully.  Sorry to hear you’ve been having a hard time though πŸ™  and hope that your AF doesn’t come back long and difficult either!  Good luck πŸ™‚

I just finished my ring on Tuesday and took it out for good..  Now the “fake” AF is here.. See what happens now that I don’t put one in again!  Looking forward to you joining the club in about 3 weeks πŸ™‚

Hey ladies. Sorry I haven’t been around. My mom had a minor cardiac event (she had a stent put in, no damage to her heart) and it’s thrown me quite a bit. Has anyone considered TTC earlier due to an event like this? Or would you consider trying earlier if something like this happened? Hopefully my parents will live much longer but they were 37 & 40 when they had me and I’ll be 28 next month. It’s really got my mind going. It’s important to me for my kids to have a relationship with them.

On another note, I can tell my sister-in-law wants us to start trying! She’s alluded to saving clothes for us, or her sister (who isn’t in a relationship) for when we have kids. Which is so sweet because she dresses her son very fashionably and I know she’ll dress her daughter the same and we may not have the means to do that.

It’s been a busy week. We found out my SIL is having a girl earlier this week and then my mom had her event. I stayed overnight with my mom in the hospital in the ICU and I hope that’s the last unhappy reason I go to a hospital for a long time. Sorry if this is rambly. I’m still processing the week and a little bit avoiding sleeping until I’m so tired I can’t resist so I don’t have that awkward time in bed to think about what’s been happening.

@ShellVee:  Ha, overkill but it worked!

Fingers X on your FW BD’ing, it only takes once! Per Impatient Women’s Guide (I loved it!) BD’ing the day before O is 43% of all pregnancy and all other days were 10-25% so def. hit that one!

@aliciapdx:  haha I think we got that one because looks like I should O tomorrow because I got a positive this morning and if I get one tomoro then I should O tomoro πŸ™‚ -4, -3, -2 and -1 so far πŸ™‚ DH is definitely stepping up to the BD plate with no complaints πŸ™‚

After Fiance being super sweet on my 25 birthday last month (“you know, you’re 25 now, we should have a baby”), we decided to TTC on our honeymoon instead of after!!! So I’m getting my Mirena out the beginning of June!! So many changes – just graduated, wedding in two weeks, now thinking about babies! It’s all happening at once.

Add me to the June 2013 list!!

@ShellVee:  Ha, the Fiance told me if I didn’t get KU this month that we would “have to” BD everyday for the whole month O or not!  He used the term “get the job done!”

@FreckledFox:  haha, I like to know everything too… I’m glad I know some things already (like labor) but I totally want to know more.  My mom is going to go nuts.

@MrsPaulsBabyBallerina:  I’m sorry about the test results.  That is really frustrating and scary.  But, sounds like you have a good attitude about it all and that’s awesome that you’re moving to Boston!  I’m biased but great choice.  I am also happy to live in a place with progressive laws about healthcare coverage!  It sounds like the IVF route reduces the chances that this is passed on to a baby?

@MrsDe2013:  Sorry to hear about your mom, definitely sounds like a stressful week.  I have considered moving up TTC due to parent health issues… a year or so ago my dad was diagnosed with cancer.  The prognosis wasn’t good and it made me re-evaluate a lot of things.  Ultimately we weren’t in a place to have a baby immediately, but it definitely felt eye opening.  Luckily my dad came through treatment with flying colors and is fine… but I hear you, I definitely want my parents to have a relationship with my kids.  They had me when they were 30 & 38, and I turn 31 next month… they don’t seem old but I guess old enough to have random health things pop up.  It’s scary.

@aliciapdx:  haha yeah if this doesn’t work then every day to “get the job done” sounds like a plan πŸ™‚ least there’s no chance of missing the window πŸ™‚ At least this month has better odds than last month… I think we only got O day last month (due to staying at the ILs and then the flights etc) but I wasn’t OPKing so I can’t be 100% on our timing.

@Almost Mrs.P:  aww thank you.  Yes, if we do IVF, we would do something called Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis, so only unaffected embryos would be transferred.  Not all couple who have IVF do the PGD. Our condition is luckily able to be diagnosed through that. It’s my understanding that the waiting till 13 weeks to diagnose in utero is because of the risk of loosing the pregnancy by doing invasive testing.

All of this TTC and IVF stuff is like learning another language.  My poor husband has no idea what I’m talking about half the time with all the acronyms. It’s my payback of sorts when he speaks in his cop code telling me about his work day.
