@kate02121:  Welcome back and congrats on getting of BCP. Are you planning on charting? We have a group of very talented ladies at the Charters thread that are super helpful. GL at your appointment.

hi ladies! hope everyone is doing well.. once again I’ve been non existant… partly b/c my laptop died and partly because I always forget to keep up with this thread! Anywho, I’m getting anxious and SO ready to start! So close yet so far! Also DH and I were wandering around Target yesterday… and he suggested… hey lets look at the prices of all the baby stuff…

that was my reaction.. just strolling along and then BAM! ๐Ÿ™‚

anyways I’m gonna go back and catch up on all the chatter!

@candy11:  Yes, I’m definitely planning on charting. There are some amazing resources on here for sure. Ideally, the doctor will tell me to stay off BCP and chart to avoid until we’re ready…so I can figure out my cycles and make sure I’m ovulating, but it still might be much too early.

@SadieBee:  Thanks! And we’re getting an English Mastiff – so we’re in for a lot of work and a lot of dog :). Here’s a picture of her at 4 weeks and about 6 lbs. Probably best to let her grow a little before we bring a human child into the mix!

@Almost Mrs.P:  I know you posted this a week ago.. but I’m totally a drink till its pink club member. I don’t even drink much as it is… so I’m not going to deprive myself of drinking when I do decide to. Plus I’m starting mid June and who wants to willingly NOT drink when it’s summer!!!!

@AnotherAnonyBee:  I get sore nipples after I o so it is definitely a possible pms symptom. As for waiting. I am with your doctor. I’ve read multiple things that say you should even wait 2-3 cycles coming off the pill. I hope all goes well for you. Oh and my  family has always perscribed a spoon of peanut butter to those in my family low on weight (whether it be from exercise or just the tweens in my family caught up in a growth spurt and a gangly arm stage) I’m sure avacado would be good too!

As for those ladies with the rough periods coming off hbc… I had some rough ones before and after hbc… They’ve gotten much better now that I’ve gotten back into the groove of exercising. Yes I have a slightly longer cycle now.. but nothing too much to be worried about (Still definitely o’ing!) so I’ll take the longer cycles if it means lighter periods.

@candy11:  I asked about running a 10miler this october… and the general consensus is if you are already running.. there should be no issues with you running  such a race while pregnant… especially if you’re early on. So I’m still sticking with my date… well I was going to stick with the date even though DH and I decided that we wouldn’t be able to make it to the 10miler… lol oh and I ran my first 5k at the beginning of the month… running another (a fun one, the color run) on the 25th and doing a ‘trail series’ this summer with DH it includes a 5.5 mile run in the woods  up and down hills… so I’ve been slowly upping my milage. I’m up to 4 miles now! Woot!!!!

@Vikstar:  you chart your temps (I’m sure other bees answered this already.. I’m just behind on replying to everyone!) and to echo another poster tcoyf book ๐Ÿ™‚ but yea the only way to CONFIRM o is charting and getting those three beautiful elevated temps! there are other methods to estimate.. but that lets you know it happened for sure.
