SadieBee:  I broke my foot in October….by falling down the single step by our back door.  Total klutz!  I had to wear a boot on it for 6 weeks and every day I had someone ask how I broke it.  By the end I was thinking of making up some elaborate story about how I was practicing my back flips or something instead of just telling people I fell down a step.

SaltedCaramel:  Woohoo!  Even a month earlier at this point is super exciting!!

I’ll roll call again when I know for sure I’m a waiting-to-TTC-er.  I kind of feel like an imposter right now, lol.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?:  Working on grad school, trying to sell the house where I used to live. We bought hubby a truck a few weeks ago that will be his “family” car.

Do you chart? Link to the chart:  Nope

What are you most appreciating now about NOT being pregnant? Soda! I’ve been drinking way too much caffeine lately thanks to summer semester.<br />

Ugh, I’m having a hard time controlling the green monster of jealousy today.  It’s just been one of those days where everywhere I look there are pregnant women or couples with babies.  DH and I went to Ikea this morning, and I swear, it must have been preggo day and I just didn’t get the memo or something.  I’m trying to remind myself that we’re really close, but then I think “but what if it takes a long time?!”  Gotta keep positive though – hopefully in a year I’ll be one of those ladies walking around Ikea with a sweet little baby in a carrier ๐Ÿ™‚

Age/DH’s age: 24/24

When will you TTC?: We are looking into summer of 2016. I’m hoping June or July 2016.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?:  So far… Nothing. I’d like to get back down to my normal weight and get on a different birth control plan that isn’t hormonal but I figure we’ve got some time.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: nope

What are you most appreciating now about NOT being pregnant?: I’m loving the time we get to spend together! Also, I can eat and drink what I want. Travel is an option and the house is quiet! Many positives for us waiting.

fiona2011:  Hey fellow July 2015er (?)! Congrats on setting a timeline, that’s awesome! DH and I will be trying then too after a trip to Greece and my bff’s Destination Wedding in Colorado. So exciting! I went of BCP at the end of April so absolutely no judgement about going off them soon. It will give your body plenty of time to regulate and for you to see your cycle patterns. I chart (which is awesome) so if you’re thinking of it, I highly recommend!

SadieBee:  You are so close, you can do it! If it helps I’m totally jealous of YOU right now as this is your final TTA month. You are exactly one year ahead of our plans and I’m so wishing we could just say the hell with it and start trying. I’m making it worse for myself by watching baby related movies (I get on kicks)…it either helps my baby fever or makes it worse. Can’t figure out which is happening right now.

So let me tell you my current struggle. DH and I have been together over 5 years (married 6 months). When people-mostly friends- bring up the subject of kids people always say “You need a few years of ‘just you’ time”. Ummm…the last 5 years? That was a whole helluva lot of “us” time. It’s not like our time together started over when we got married. Okay-end frustrated rant (can you tell I’m starting to PMS? Lol.).

KatiePi:  Yeah, as soon as I start to have a little pity party I need to kick myself and say “Stop it, you’re being crazy!  Did you forget that it’s almost July?!”  I think I’m sort of used to the “waiting mindset” since I’ve been anticipating it so long.  But you’re right, we’re so close!  I will say for you, though, as much as I sometimes feel like I’ve been waiting for this forever, I also feel like this last year has gone by REALLY fast – so enjoy your final baby-free stuff and it’ll be here before you know it!

Also, love baby movies.  Really feel like watching Father of the Bride II now (or both, because they are fantastic).

SadieBee:  Oh watch it…right now. Do it! That is literally my favorite movie of all time! I watch it often and whenever I put it in my DH just goes “really…again?” Love it. Did you see they’re making a 3rd FOB where the son is gay and getting married? So excited!

And you’re right…a year is nothing in the grand scheme of time. This past year went by ridiculously fast (in retrospect) and there were times I thought it would NEVER end. Luckily the school year keeps me so busy that time just passes without me thinking about it.

KatiePi:  “Do the baby vorkout!  Make the babies gleeful!”

I think Frank Eggelhoffer is one of my most favorite film characters ever.

And I just saw about the new sequel the other day!! I’m stoked, can’t wait.

KatiePi:  I love that movie!!! I’m with you guys today. I saw like 5 pregnant women today and then I was at a party at a community center today, and there was a little kid dance recital happening later and there were like 35 tiny girls in tutus running around. My ovaries were about to burst!! Then most of the parents had other tiny babies. I was especially jealous because I was like, “hey world.. Let me get one before you give people 2 or 3!”

Also, it was a family party and my sister wasn’t there, but everyone kept confusing us and asking when my baby is due. (My sis is due in Oct). My mom asked when she’d be planning my baby shower (no comment), and my uncle told me not to have kids yet because no one will care about you anymore. Only the babies. Sigh.

KatiePi:  Thanks! I’m excited to see so many others who are planning to ttc next summer! That’s so exciting about your trip to Greece! I do plan on charting to avoid after I go off bc and then hopefully I’ll have the hang of it for ttc:)
