mrscorgi:  Ohhh, Puerto Vallarta. DH really wants to go back. I would like to as well, except we’re trying to do so many things that require money (buy another car, do some home improvements) that all I can do is dream of going on a family vacation to PV. Siiiigh.

LiliKitty:  Mr.Corgi and I had our big wedding there last november, on a pier overlooking the ocean, it was amazing! everytime I go back, I’m tempted to buy property there someday, I feel like I have visited enough (our wedding was lucky number 13 for me) and I should live there part time πŸ™‚

mrscorgi:  I’m so envious! I bet your wedding was incredibly beautiful. It’s my literal paradise it’s so gorgeous there. You get the best of both worlds, a little bit of mountains, a lotta bit of glorious beach… yep, paradise.

RunnerBride13:  Woohoo, have fun in Paris!! Can you start TTC in Paris?? Or maybe NTNP. That would be so romantic…

I’m a Port Agent – my job in a nutshell: getting ships what they need when they call our harbour.

Anyway, so Too Much Information again (I’m the Too Much Information Queen, god help those who are in my POAS thread in December). So much for ‘this is the first and only time we are doing it without condoms’… I know I’m about a week out from AF so when DH reached for the condoms I said “we don’t need those” and he threw them on the floor and said “are you sure?” and we just did it! It feels really great that he trusts me to know what my body is doing (and that he is loosening up just a little bit before TTC).

mrscorgi:  It’s TOUGH! Work has been crazy stressful lately, and caffiene is my biggest crutch! I may or may not have a 1 liter of Mt. Dew next to me at this very moment (I keep reasoning that we’re not trying yet, so what’s one more…).

RunnerBride13:  It would be fine to start charting as soon as you get back because your CL is only based on your 5 (or 6 – I can’t remember) previous temps before your temp rise so if your first few temps are a bit wacky from the time change it won’t affect being able to see a pattern. I hope that made sense. I seriously suck at explaining things lol. On the other hand, Why not just start NTNP now? hehe

Wow, so this is what was awaiting me on FB this morning:

DH’s brother’s girlfriend saying she is having contractions.

My niece’s friend (who is all of 20!) saying she has 1 more week until her baby is due.

Our friend’s posting a mini-video of their 3 mo daughter laughing for the first time (here’s a tip from one waiting bee to another: don’t listen to stuff like that)

An old school friend’s 8 mo daughter crab-crawling on the floor.

My good friend’s almost 1yo little boy walking for the first time.

amyinbrisbane:  I feel for you. FB is not a good place for those of us wating to TTC. I see so many baby photos and pregnancy status updates on FB and it makes me so jealous.

AFM: I don’t know if some if you remember me saying a month or so back that I was going to be due for AF on my wedding day and that I was toying with the idea of TTC in December so that I wouldn’t have AF, well, the other night I was starting to feel sick and I told Fiance that I kind of hope that I do get sick so that O is delayed and I won’t have AF on our wedding. I said “being sick will delay O so therefore delay AF” and then he finished my sentence with “and delay babies” (said with disappointment). What is happening with this man recently… I have a feeling he has finally come down with a case of the baby fever lol

P.S. I didn’t get sick and at this stage AF is still making an appearence at the wedding :/

RunnerBride13:  I think taking this last pack of pills and then starting temping whenever you get home is fine. Even if you miss a few temps during your period and very beginning of your cycle, the ones that matter are the ones that come after that first week anyway! Boo to a second month of BCP, yay to charting! πŸ™‚

amyinbrisbane:  Days like this make me so cranky, last week my friend posted her 15 month old saying “cracker” and it melted my heart! Listening to baby noises, toddlers trying to speak, and kiddos laughter is a sure way to torture yourself! makes my baby rabies flare up so much πŸ™‚ be strong! I’ll be the other Too Much Information bee on the December thread, I have no filter πŸ™‚

RunnerBride13:  Do you mean that you would be flying home on the first day of no pills or the first day of your period?  If you’re flying home on the first day of no pills, I would just wait to temp until you get your period.  If you’re flying home on the first day of your period, I would wait one day so that you can get a normal night’s sleep.  Time change and weird sleeping will mess with your temps since you do want to take your temp at the same time every day.

So, I got my belated one year anniversary present last night. He had one of our engagement pictures with the dogs made into a puzzle, trying to stay with the traditional paper theme, and had “Our First Family” printed on the bottom. I joked with him that did that mean we’d have a second family soon. Maybe he’s more ready to TTC than he’s letting on… πŸ˜‰  He’s one of those who maintains a gruff, cynical exterior, but as this shows, has a softer side buried inside.

mrscorgi:  I’ve been working on cutting back on my caffeine too, but not doing as good as I should be. Grad school hasn’t helped either. I was hoping that I’d make progress between semesters, but school starts up again next week, and I still drink way too much Coke Zero. I’ve only got until October!

mrscorgi:  I drink a ridiculous amount of diet coke 😐 I actually never drank coffee through uni. After, I started with the occasional starbucks drink. Which has now turned into a habit. Iced Coffee from McDonalds only a dollar alllll summer – yup, I’m addicted. DH has reminded me multiple times that its probably not a good time to get addicted since I will need to wean myself off in a couple months… bah

Also, are your SO’s planning to not drink before the pregnancy. DH is all about evidence-based medicine and says he won’t drink for 3 months before and during TTC. My 9 months + breastfeeding will be long enough for me. LOL

thanlon_88:  I had no idea about mc.d’s iced coffee being only 1$! time to turn my couch over good, because that sounds ahhhmazing. quitting is hard but I used to be a smoker, and im certain quitting cigs was harder then this will ever be! Fortunately mr.corgi and I are not big drinkers outside of our caffiene intake, although lately a curvy glass of reisling has been calling my name, it wont be much of a sacrifice for us.

Krispi:  I did quit all soda/pop once before, all I can say is start weaning yourself off slowly! Withdrawl headaches are the worst! gotta love those chemicals! (and YAY you only have until October! So exciting!!)
