When will you TTC?:  October 2014!!!

RunnerBride13:  What type of gummy prenatals do you take?  I would much prefer gummies over pills!

Roll call info:

Age/DH’s age: 28/29.  When we start TTC, I’ll still be 28 and he’ll be 30.

When will you TTC?:  May 2015.  If I ovulate twice that month (what it’s looking like right now in FF, we won’t try until the later of the two cycles).

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?:  Eating healthy, using OPKs to get the hang of them, taking prenatals when I remember (I will amp this up when it gets closer), I neeeed to get back into exercising.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Yup!  This is my tenth cycle charting:  http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/arielmerms

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: I’m a high school biology teacher and my DH is an engineer.  Ideally, I’ll have a baby in Feb/March/April, take off until September and then go back to work.  Sadly, even with pretty decent salaries, we do not make nearly enough money for me to stay home for long.

mrscorgi:  I have a mueller strap that I wear underneath my knee cap when I run and it helps me so much!  Don’t know what your injury is and if it would help you, but they’re less than 10 bucks on amazon and it’s made a world of difference for me.

arielmerms:  all the research ive done on the gummy prenatals say they are lacking in iron and calcium, i’m borderline anemic so the added iron is a requirement for me. If you find one that isnt lacking in either let me know! I hate pills!! lol

arielmerms:  I have a past torn MCL and all the tendons surrounding my knees are “loose” and my knee joints move not only front to back but side to side too. I’ve had a lot of physical therapy to strengthen the knees but nothing seems to help much. when I ride horses I have to wear double knee braces, and yes it is a fashon statement!

MrsFairyBee:  We’ll officially start TTC right away (so, September will be my first POAS month). I told my husband long ago that when we decide to do this, we’re going all out 100%. I have awful periods when I’m off BC (8-10 days, super heavy, horrible cramping) so I don’t want to just be hanging out and NTNP while I’m miserable. Full steam ahead, I say!

mrscorgi:  Thanks! You never know! My husband was totally terrified, then in June, he said, “I’m ready when you’re ready” which completely surprised me. Guys are unpredictable. ๐Ÿ™‚

Roll call info:

Age/DH’s age: 28/27

When will you TTC?:  No clue!  Whenever DH gets his act together

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?:  Prenatals, getting back in to better cooking and exercizing habbits after all the moving & travelling.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: My plan is to start charting/temping/OPK’ing only after at least 3 months of TTC.

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: DH is a lawyer, I run a small business selling my art.  I certainly intend to keep up with my business, but I’ll be playing it by ear (weekend-long arts & crafts shows, setting up a booth & 12-hour days in the sun, IDK how I’ll manage that while pregnant/dealing with a newborn).  I might stick to just my online shop for a year or so.

It’s getting so close November ladies! I just picked up three months of birth control and realized I won’t be needing to do that again! I was worried that DH wasn’t “all in” with the November timeline, but just this past week he’s started talking about it more. Yesterday he asked me if he can start buying baby things yet! Haha! No way! That will definitely jinx things, I told him.

Age/DH’s age: 30/30

When will you TTC?:  November– it looks like I will finish a pack of birth control on November 7 and then I’ll be officially off bcp.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?:  Prenatals, ordering some books, lots of internet browsing on babies, figuring out a budget plan to save up maternity leave money during pregnancy, and still trying to cut down on caffeine (man it’s hard!!).

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Not until November 7 ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: I’m a freelance journalist– I work from home– and DH is a doctor (still in training). Unfortunately he has no choice but to work 70-80 hour weeks for the next four years, which I know will be even tougher once we have kids than it is now. I’m trying to save up money so that I can take somewhere in the range of 4-6 months off work before easing back into my work. I feel lucky that my career is super flexible in terms of hours and the amount of work I do, and that I can do it easily from home.
