Roll call info:

Age/DH’s age: Me: 29, DH: 32 and about to turn in 33 next month!

When will you TTC?:  Right now, we are not sure when, but hopefully soon we will know. TBD

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?:  Taking prenatals, folic acid, vitamin D, Vitex. Trying to lose more weight by eating healthy and excercising.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/candy11

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: DH and I are both grad students. I am going for my doctorate degree in physics, and he’s going for his second MS in electrical engineering. We do substitute teaching on the side. DH also works at a pharmacy store.

I plan to continue working after having kids. Heck, I am working so hard to earn my degree, I better make it count. I might just take a few months off and return to work. Hopefully, if I do find a postdoc in town, DH can help me take care of the baby during his study breaks. Otherwise, I will need major help taking care of the baby while I work. I don’t see being a Stay-At-Home Mom as something we can do in the near future.

Bettyboo1982:  Welcome! and don’t worry charting is a totally optional part of TTC! It is easier than it looks though ๐Ÿ™‚ Fertility friend is the website that most of us use to chart, and they have some great free courses if you were interested!

MrsFairyBee:  Not charting until we go through at least 6 NTNP cycles with no luck. Hopefully just relaxing and not protecting will be enough for us, but who knows!

So excited to be a part of the December group!!

Bettyboo1982:  I am pretty confident in charting telling me all I need to know, and I’ve only been committed to charting for 3 months. So I haven’t tried any OPK’s or fertility monitors but I know that lots of other bees have tried them! You could ask on the charter’s thread, they’re super nice over there and can help with anything you can think of!

Age/DH’s age: I’m 28, DH is 31

When will you TTC?: Once I run out of my current BCP script which will take me to December this year

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: I’ve just started taking prenatals. I want to up my gym activity to at least 3 times a week (I’ve been a bit lax of late due to work commitments, but need to make it more of a priority). I want to work for at least 3 months in my current position as I’ve just got a promotion and get an awesome automatic pay rise after a year so that extra money will help with my paid maternity leave. Move my brother in law out of our house and have a bit of time as a newely wed couple (we have lived together alone previously for a long time before marriage but we are helping him to get on his feet by living with us as we all just moved to a new city)

Do you chart?  Not until my BCP runs out, but I’ve just bought TCOYF for the second time as I gave my last one to my bestie when she said she was TTC so looking forward to refreshing on the charting ins and outs

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: I’m a radiation therapist (treat people with cancer using radiation) but have taken on a clinical/education role now so that I still treat and plan patients treatments but am also responsible for looking after students and interns etc. The hubs is a carpenter. I plan to have a year off but will probably have to go back full time after that as they will only hold my job that long, plus I doubt they’d let me keep that role without being full time as it’s quite demanding. I’ve worked pretty hard for the last 8 years since uni to get into this perfect position so I don’t want to give it up either!

Hello! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve been lurking around with crazy baby fever hehe and i decided id finally post something since recently talking with my husband about how we need to figure out when would be the best time to start rtying for our first child. We decided on the end of next summer, yay!

Age/DH’s age: I’m 25 he is 28

When will you TTC?:  August 2015

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Not much yet, just started learning how to chart last month.

Do you chart? It’s my second month.

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?:  We are both students. Luckily in Finland that pays the bills. I’m starting my second year of a 5 year program for bachelors and masters in Intercultural Teaching. I’ll hopefully be pregnant for most of or a part of the last year of my bachelors, and then take it easy with school for a semester and then go full time. Hopefully when I finish I’ll have a toddler and can get a nanny or do the day care thing so I can start teaching as soon as possible after graduating. Husband is in school for a  degree in international business and already has a marketing degree. Hopefully he will be graduating and starting a new job well before we have a baby. I plan on being a Stay-At-Home Mom for atleast 2 or 3 years after we have a 2nd child. But who knows how things will go! ๐Ÿ™‚

Age/DH’s age: 24 / 28. Fiance will be 29 next month and I will be 25 a week later (beginning of Oct)

When will you TTC?:  Probably Feb 2015 but not 100% sure at this stage

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?:  Taking folic acid and trying to eat healthier

Do you chart? Link to the chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Janelle123

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: I’m an estimator for an engineering company and Fiance is a welder/fabricator for the same company. I plan to have 4 months maternity leave and then hopefully be able to work from home. I don’t want to ask my boss before we are actually pregnant but I don’t see why I wouldn’t be abe to do my work from home. If he says no then I will go back to work after 4 months and both my BFF and Future Mother-In-Law have offered to take care of any future little ones if I decide to go back to work.

So, apparently I lied when I said December, because DH asked me this morning if we could just start passively trying (NTNP) NOW. Like, today now. I’m thrilled, and a bit in shock. We had an extensive discussion around the subject, but for the most part I think it’s official: we’re trying (imo, not preventing = trying).

Not sure if that means I need to move to the POAS thread or if there even is an NTNP thread. Either way, good luck and baby dust to all!!!

nutmeg36:  Congrats on moving up your timeline. I don’t think there is a NTNP POAS thread, but you’re more than welcome to join the regular POAS. If you want, you can even start the September one lol! Seems like all the December bees are moving away from the group….all for good reasons.

ROLL CALL!

Age/DH’s Age: 25/26

When will you TTC?: July or August 2015

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Taking daily multi-vitamin with 400mcg of Folic Acid and also B-6 to try and naturally lengthen shorter LP (about 10 days). Excercising and saving money!

Do you chart? Link to chart.: Yes. Link: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/KatiePi

What do you do and your do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?:

I teach senior and freshmen English and DH manages a business.

So..on a different note. I’m in the TWW after we had unprotected sex a day before I ovulated. Kinda got caught up in the moment and was thrown off by Oing sooner than past few cycles. We will see what happens by Labor Day (or a bit after). We will see. Either way both DH and I are calm and will take it in stride. Not going to stress as there is nothing we can do and will just have to see what happens.

KatiePi:  Well, that would be exciting!

Roll call info:

Age/DH’s age: I’m 32, he’s 36

When will you TTC?:  We’d been set on Oct.  But considering delaying until November… part of picking Oct was to ensure that I’d be at my new job for a year to qualify for FMLA, but looking at O dates, if we were successful on the first cycle I’d be due only a few weeks past my one year mark.  Which makes me nervous that the baby would be early and before that anyway, and then that would be annoying.  We’ll see, I think we’ll just see how we feel when it gets closer.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?:  Taking prenatals, charting, chatting about babies and parenting with DH.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Yup!  http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/SaltedCaramel

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: I’m a social worker (currently in a clinical management role) and DH is in finance. We’ll both be working once we have a baby.  We make good salaries but live in an expensive city, so we couldn’t manage on one income.  My mom has made comments about wanting to watch the baby a day or two a week, so we are hoping that we could get away with 3-4 days/week of daycare.
