candy11:  Yep. TTC after the wedding. We’ve been together for 4 years now and already own a house and have good careers. We actually decided to get married because we were both ready for kids (not the only reason obviously, but the main reason for the timing). Not quite the traditional order of things 🙂

Does anyone have any recommendations (good/bad) on prenatal vitamins? My insurance is no longer covering the prescription I had (they want $50 a month for it!!) and all the OTC ones I’ve tried make me SO nauseous.

candy11:  I feel that way too sometimes when I see other couples having kids who have less than us. On one hand they all seem to be doing just fine and it makes me sad that we aren’t there yet. On the other hand I am grateful to not be in a position where we have to worry about how we are going to make ends meet. I am not having a good waiting day at all today and am just feeling jealous.

Mrs. Coyote:  The prenatals don’t make me nauseous, but I like the gummy ones because I’m not so good at swallowing the big pills. I also don’t take iron, so that might be what is upsetting your stomach. I’ve heard iron should be taken with food.

My doctor told me the only thing I needed to be taking pre TTC is folic acid. The rest of the stuff in the mix can wait till we start trying. But you could ask your doctor if the iron is needed or not.

Question about charting with Fertility Friend: did you people buy the premium VIP version or just using the free basic version? just deciding whether or not to get it as my one month trial is almost up!

HopefulSim:  I have the VIP version… I’m pretty sure they have deals on their Facebook page – don’t pay full price!

So I wrote a few pages back that DH and I had a slipup and had unprotected sex a day before I ovulated. Currently 7DPO and will see what the next few days bring. Not really focusing on it as I don’t want to invent symptoms that aren’t there. Will update when I see what’s coming our way!

MechEBee:  So many exciting things for you coming up!  When in Sept is the wedding?

Mrs. Coyote:  I have been taking these for maybe 6 months and like them:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005DEK9KE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I wanted something with DHA.  I am also taking a fish oil supplement due to another issue, but I know it doesn’t hurt for TTC.  I originally got these at Target (they were on sale and looked good) but checked them yesterday and they were $22 for the bottle of 90!  Just ordered the same size bottle from Amazon for $12.  I am careful to take them with food (breakfast) because I am nervous that they will make me nauseous if I don’t.  But I haven’t had any issues with them at all.

HopefulSim:  Yup, deals on FB…. I made a fake email to make a fake FB account so that I could like their page without it linking to my actual FB account, haha.  VIP has some nice features but definitely don’t pay full price for it!

KatiePi:  Eek, keep us posted!!

Soooo, I was just ordering a couple of things on Amazon and needed to add something to my order for free shipping…. so I put the Mayo Clinic Guide to Pregnancy in my cart.    I hadn’t been planning to buy any pregnancy books until a BFP, but here we are.  I am kind of losing patience and feeling like, screw it, let’s try tomorrow!  It doesn’t help that DH is getting really excited/antsy about babies too… makes my baby fever pretty  overwhelming.  (Though I LOVE that he is so pumped!!)

SaltedCaramel:  haha yeah I’m not sure if I want people seeing me liking FF and then making assumptions especially since most people around me don’t seem to know anything about charting! Might have to be sneaky about it too! I know what you mean about losing patience! Now that I am officially off BCP I just want to try and hop on the pregnancy wagon straight away but no, I’m going to be a good girl and wait a few months first! DH has to calm me down sometimes because I get carried away talking about getting pregnant etc but he doesn’t want us to get our hopes up just in case we have trouble getting pregnant.

Whew. Been a while since I checked in. I’ve missed a lot. Work has been super busy and it’s just wearing me out. This past weekend I refused to do anything, haha.

DH started talking about going to Mexico again around our 1 year anniversary (Feb) and possibly bringing friends with. I asked how he felt trying to make babies while on vacation with friends and he gave me this uugghhh sort of noise then said that just sounds too early. What!? By then we’ll have been together for over 8 years! Pulling me away from the light at the end of the tunnel better have been just a lapse in judgement!

SaltedCaramel:  Sept. 6th is the wedding. Then Costa Rica from the 8th to the 18th. A honeymoon baby would be awesome. Something to embarass the kid with… haha, they always eventually end up doing the math.
