Janelle123:  Doctors often work with you and BCP to avoid having your period on the wedding day. If it were me and if I got debiliting cramps with my period, I would get back on BCP for a few months to avoid my period over the wedding/honeymoom, then get off it and TTC in Feb. like originally planned. Hopefully, since your body would only be on the pill for a few cycles it wouldn’t mess anything up. I was on the pill for 8 years and still ovulated my first cycle off BCP. I bet you would be just fine.

This weekend I really looked within and thought long and hard about what I want and how everything fits together. At work today, I really racked my brain for new ideas and ways that I can fit my passions into my job, and I am feeling SO much better about everything. I pretty much had an epiphany and decided not to go for the job. My husband was pretty surprised and wanted to make sure that I won’t regret it. I feel that as long as I work hard and give it my all, I will be satisfied. Ultimately, starting our family is 10x more important to me than any job. There are going to be hard days, but I can’t let one awful week spoil a really good opportunity. Getting my IUD taken out next Monday and I am frickin’ excited!

RunnerBride13: My skin always breaks out 1-2 days before O and AF. Like clockwork! FX it’s the same for [email protected]

Let’s do a question of the day…. How many kids do you want?

We are pretty set on having just 1. I get sad sometimes because I think about how much I love my sisters, but we really only want 1 child. It makes the most sense for us. And since we each have sibilings that have children and close friends with kids, we hope that our child will have lots of other people to play with. It’s odd because we actually know a lot of people that are choosing to  just have 1 kid now. Except his sister who is PG with #3! But who knows! People always say you want more after the first!

AFM, sorry I have been a bit MIA lately. Just busy with work and such. I am finally going to the genetics clinic tomorrow for the cystic fibrosis test. Feels like it took forever to get here! I’m really hoping that everything goes well because I am so excited to be GRADUATING this month! I didn’t even realize that until I saw there was no more November on the list! And then I got even more excited that I could join the December POAS boards!

I think two would be ideal. If we got a boy and a girl, I’d feel like we won the lottery lol. I think two is just the right balance for the kind of lifestyle we want.

RunnerBride13: We want 3, perhaps 4.  That said, we’re playing it as it comes.  We’ll have 1 and see how we go.  Definitely not more than 4.  Probably not just the one.

RunnerBride13:  We’re planning on 2 and then seeing how it goes and if we decide we want a third that’s fine too. We both only have one sister each.

arielmerms:  MrsFairyBee:  Thanks for the advice. I think I’ll try the ginger tea this cycle like arielmerms suggested and if that doesn’t work I’ll start taking the pill next month.

RunnerBride13:  Ideally we want 2 but if we have 2 of the same sex then we would consider a third.

Let’s do a question of the day…. How many kids do you want?

I’m in the “lets have one and see how we do” camp, though I’m open to more. DH wants 2 or 3. I’m 34 so my age might factor into how many we have! I’m so nervous about my age even though my mom was my age when she had me (her first).

CaroBee:  I’ll be 33 when we start TTC.  I do worry about my age a bit as well.  Not so much based on ‘stats’ (thanks to a few books, that fear is gone) but more because my mum and my Nana both had complete hysterectomies before they turned 40.  I do worry its going to be the same for me (though I have none of the problems that eventually caused theirs, neither did they at 32.)

I have to say, I know very few people who had kids in their 20s.  Most of my friends started early to mid 30s.  Some had issues, most of them didn’t.  And even starting in their 30s some of them were done well before 40.  I think I just have a little less time to wait between kids than I would have had if I were in my 20s.
