When will you TTC?: December 2014 (I want a fall/winter baby)
What are you doing to get ready to TTC? I have to get healthy! Fell off the wagon after our wedding, but no more blaming stress and work! I’ve been taking pre-natals since before the wedding for better hair/skin, so at least I’m used to that! Mentally preparing is going to be the hardest, we don’t have the baby rabies yet, but know that we aren’t getting any younger, and it might take us awhile since I am diabetic with PCOS. boo!
Do you chart? Link to the chart: No, still on NuvaRing, I haven’t been off BC in over a decade, not sure what to expect once I stop, or how long to do it before TTC. I might chart, I will probably have to take clomid so it might be mandatory.
For the Poll: How are you working towards getting past the thing that’s holding you back? I try to talk about it with DH, we could still go either way, our decision to TTC is a practical one, and I don’t know any adult couples without kids so I can’t picture what our life would look like without a child. I totally have a secret pinterest board though!
For Fun: If you could have ANY food in the world right now, what would it be? Watermelon or Birthday cake. Why can’t I crave celery??

@missfrillycoat: @luckylady3090: How can someone have so many oops babies?!
@amyinbrisbane: Haha my mom has been like that too. It’s getting a bit annoying acutally. Last night we were talking and she was like, well you know maybe you won’t be going to Aruba in October because there will be “someone” on the way right?? She is trying so hard to get out of us when we will start TTC!
@missfrillycoat: So funny how your parents said that about their bathtub! Definitely more straightforward than what my parents would say!
@sparklerunner: Haha I can’t say that thought hasn’t crossed my mind once or twice! I would love to see the look on DH’s face saying “you know, you really don’t have to pull out if you don’t want to”.

@SadieBee: I am so super late to this, but CONGRATS! YAY! Things are in motion!
@luckylady3090: TBH, if the money is not absolutely necessary I am with your DH — Don’t let it get in the way of your original plans! I have my own job dilemma and we’ve decided that (for us) the pay isn’t worth delaying our timeline.
@amyinbrisbane: LOVE that picture. So true.

Does anyone else wonder how they’re going to make it all work? I mean, I feel like I barely have control of my life right now, what will it be like with a baby in the mix?! I am always running out the door last minute, and I feel like I have NO TIME. Example: Tonight I came home, did a workout, took a shower, made dinner and it’s already 8pm! I popped onto the bee for a quick second and now I have to go get clothes/lunch ready for tomorrow, do the dishes and clean up a bit. Then suddenly it will be 10pm and I will be ready for bed. How am I going to do all of this AND take care of another living being?! I’m kinda scared.
I just see these moms that I work with and seriously… These ladies are superwomen! I don’t know how they do it all.

@livelaughlove628: @Mrs. Coyote: I get that feeling too once in a while, especially when I’m coming home from work and I’m tired and don’t feel like doing anything.
AFM, we finally booked our move for April 25. This means I only have 6 weeks left to work and once we move, only about 1 more month to wait to start TTC! I can’t wait!

I have the same thoughts!! Also those days where all I want to do is sit on the couch and do nothing more strenuous than change movies in the DVD player. I guess we’ll all adapt in our own way 🙂

@Mrs. Coyote: It’s funny, I was just thinking about the same thing last night. A co-worker of mine told me once “you think you’re busy now? HA! wait until you have kids, you’ll think back and laugh at yourself”. I’m just crossing my fingers that supermom skills are something that I can eventually master.

@missfrillycoat: @amyinbrisbane: @emsy3110: Hahaha, yeah, my mom isn’t being pushy at all (then again, she already has two grandkids by my brother), but my Mother-In-Law clearly has her own case of grand-baby rabies. Last time we visited, she kept talking about baby-proofing stuff around their house (like needing to get safety fencing put up around their pool), and my Father-In-Law was just like, “Woman, what are you talking about, nobody is even pregnant!” I think she senses it’s coming soon, though – some kind of mom’s intuition 🙂
@emsy3110: I was having the same problem last night – I think it was some sort of WB bug that they have since fixed. And OMG yay for having your move booked! I’m hoping to be able to do that today or tomorrow (DH is running around talking to people and trying to work out job details today) – I’m so anxious to get the process started getting our new lease signed, booking a moving truck, and starting to pack! It is funny that we basically ended up being on the same schedule – I think we’ll be moving right around there and TTC about a month later, too!

Those of you who are taking prenatals, have you found a good brand you like? I started taking them in late January (even though we won’t be TTC until closer to the end of the year) because I was feeling a bit off and thought I could use the extra iron. I just got some cheap ones from the grocery store, but I wanted ones that I only have to take once a day. Of course, the downside to that is that it’s 1 super gigantic pill!
