@The_Future_KB:

@MrsHurtLocker:

Hi ladies!  Welcome!  MrsHurtLocker, I loooove Legally Blonde too.  Kiss

@emsy3110:  Yikes…. that stinks!  Sounds so uncomfortable.  I don’t have any words of wisdom because I haven’t gone off BCP yet… hope you feel better soon!

Today I went to the eye dr– I’ve been having the worst time with dry eyes in the last 1.5 years.  I wear contacts, but have worn them for 18 years with no issues.  Well, today, my doctor said that birth control could be the reason for the dry eyes!  I was floored.  She said that it’s actually pretty common, and many of her patients who switch pills find that it is resolved.  I guess your body eventually changes how it processes/reacts to things, and it’s more common for women who’ve been on the pill for 8-10 years or more.  Makes me even more excited to get off the pill… 9 more days of active pills!  If it fixed my dry eyes I would be so happy!

@emsy3110:  I don’t have any pain but I do have some serious bloating.  I’ve begun an exercise routine and am trying to drink more water and watch what I eat.  I don’t know a whole lot about what could be causing pain besides the obvious (menstrual cramps, ovulating, ovarian cysts, or early pregnancy).  I’d recommend if the pain persists or worsens to go see your OB.

@Christy42213:  Sorry to hear about the bloating. I definitely understand what you are going through right now! About the pain, I think it’s safe to rule out early pregnancy haha. I really thouhgt it was ovulation pain but it’s been 4 days now so that’s too long for just ovulation pain. I will definitely go see my doctor next week if the pain is still there. Just really uncomfortable right now.

Sorry for all the old comments,  I’m catching up!

@SadieBee:  I read what you said about checking your sister for a bump! Mine got married in August and I’m expecting an announcement any day now. *rolls eyes* They aren’t in a good place yet, but I’d still be excited! I’m checking her stomach each time I see her hahahah!

@emsy3110:  I can’t do it. I have to have my Darling Husband buy the condoms. I giggled uncontrollably and get all hot and sweaty. Can’t do it! Haha. Yes, I’m 26 and married. πŸ˜‰

I finished my last pill pack on 11 october, had the usual ‘period’ and used OPKs on day 11 through 17 of the cycle. Got no positive and just decided to leave it until my next period and I am still waiting. I do not remember ever being this late (now at 11 days late) when I have not been on oral contraceptive. I think I might have ovulated around day 29 based on CM and nipple soreness but who knows? Also I have had weird sensations in my abdomen for a couple of weeks just intermittently but I can’t tell whether is due to my cycle or the iron tablets my Doctor has advised me to take, which can make people quite nauseous.

For the benefit of those also coming off BC soon or recently, I can say my skin has not broken out like I thought it would – there has been more spots than whilse on BC but nothing like the great cystic pimples I got the last time I tried going off BC. They were seriously painful and revolting. My oil production is off the charts!! I need to buy blotting paper to use during the day, it’s so excessive.

As far as libido, there has honestly been no discernable difference.

I think I have lost some weight (like maybe a kg) but then again that could be due to my diet – I cut out chocolate on every day except fridays, and I am buying less pastries etc during the week. I also started drinking weight-loss shakes for one or two meals per day.

I have felt very tired in the mornings, which is weird since I thought taking iron tablets would make me less tired but I feel more tired than I usually do.

So I think that is everything.

I am taking elevit every day now in preparation for a babe and trying to get my iron levels up to normal range. We’ll start TTC and of January a few days after the wedding πŸ˜‰ I am expecting it not to happen quickly, however. JUst got a feeling it’s going to take a while.

Need some advice!

I got a message from my Oct bride and she wants to go dress hunting possibly next month. I am thinking of getting a larger dress just in case I am pregnant for the wedding – if I’m not, I can always just get it taken in. How much larger do you think I should go? I am hoping she likes a chiffon dress so it’s more forgiving, but I don’t know if I should just go up a single size or more. Opinions?

@b00kbug: How far along would you be in Oct if you got KU your first try? Anything empire waisted is flattering and forgiving too!

@FreckledFox:  I’d be 6 months if it happened right away. I know she also wants shorter dresses – so knee or tea length I think. My Nov bride picked out floor length.

@b00kbug:  Hmm.  Could you talk to the store that you guys are ordering from about your options?  Or talk to whoever is measuring you once you actually decide on a dress?

Another Bridesmaid or Best Man in a wedding I was in this summer was PG (she was 5 mos at the wedding) but we ordered dresses on the later side from Ann Taylor, so she had just found out when she was picking a size.  I think she went up 1 or 2 sizes (and went with empire).

@b00kbug:  I know stores like David’s bridal do even exchanges! I would go up like.. Maybe 3 sizes? It’s the bustline growing that I hear is a problem! Also I repeat, empire chiffon! πŸ™‚

@HawaiiBamaBride:  +100 I spend so much of my time daydreaming about how I would announce a pregnancy. I think of cute ways to tell Fiance. We have agreed on the list of people we would tell first (and their order – my parents being first!). I think about when I’ll tell work- at 12 weeks or when I start to show. That’s another thing- I keep stalking the Bump Love threads. Don’t think it’s too good for my sanity as I have 46 weeks until the wedding and therefore 46 weeks until we TTC. I want a bump πŸ™ I can’t talk to anyone IRL about this other than Fiance. I’ll be 26 by the the we are TTC but there will be many people around me who think I am too young (even though Fiance is 10 years older than me). People think I’m young to get married so I certainly won’t be telling ANYONE of our plans to TTC. Sorry for the rant!! Like I said, I don’t really talk about this stuff IRL and it feels good to talk here πŸ™‚

Can I ask a question? Are any bees planning on TTC before the wedding? Fiance suggested TTC a month before the wedding but I was concerned about the substantial amount of alcohol at the wedding and having to hide it from everyone. I’d like to drink at the wedding (I am paying for it after all ;))
