@Almost Mrs.P:  Ooh only 2 more weeks of BC, seriously feels like yesterday that I stopped mine!  Yes I think it’s cute how anything car AND baby related gets their attention/interest so easily.  We have been looking at SUVS too, I’m really wanting the Ford Edge and he loves the new Madza SUV… can’t think what it’s called.  I don’t care one way or the other, as long as I get a lil baby in the backseat to go with it!

@candy11:  That would be the best birthday gift ever!! I was thinking it would be perfect for a cute Valentine’s day pregnancy announcement (your b-day must fall around then too?) My curent idea is to wrap up a big heart chocolate box, but instead of the chocolates inside have the positive test inside in a wrapper haha.

@fridaythe13bride:  Yep, my bday is just a few days before Valentine’s day, so romantic with baby on board. lol! OMG, this is giving me butterflies plus I think I am about to ovulate. πŸ™‚

The heart idea sounds so good because our baby will have so much love. A big heart indeed.

I pop in here from time to time, Darling Husband doesn’t want to TTC until March 2015 (at that time I’ll be 6 months shy of 30) but we had a big talk the other night and agreed that if we can cut costs here and there we might be able to bump it to December next year. Yeah wow, a whole 3 months earlier, not much.. but it meant a lot to me because he’s so set on his dates. We’ll see anyway…

I went to get an ultrasound yesterday because I have frequent sharp pains in my left ovary area (and it’s not just ovulation pain, sometimes it lasts up to a week at a time) – and was worried that I have PCOS or something. The sonographer did an internal and it seems I have textbook uterus lining and good looking ovaries, and my right ovary was gearing up to O in the next couple days. So it’s all looking fine in there which should help me to relax a little bit for the next 12 months – yeah right! lol.

Partner and I were talking about me getting knocked up today. He was saying the soonest we’d be able to have a baby physically in our arms would be next summer (southern hemisphere) if we waited until the wedding to try, unless of course we started trying before, but then I might not fit my dress. I told him most people don’t really show at all until at least 13 weeks. He was like, “oh, alright :-)”.

Da fuq. I want this so badly. He better not be egg-teasing πŸ˜› I didn’t think we’d be starting until next June, but if it could be closer, wow. On the other hand, that’s kind of terrifying!

@candy11:  Lady, sometimes I feel like you’re my internet twin Tongue Out With grad school, starting TTC around the same time, and the birthday/Valentine’s day thing now (my b-day is the 13th – if we aren’t successful in Jan, I’ll actually probably be ovulating on my bday!), it’s just a lot in common!  I hope we have twin BFPs, too!

I had my weekly BFF date with my bestie last night, and we were talking about another close friend over dinner.  She and her SO (who is actually my DH’s childhood best friend – they met at our wedding!) are coming up on their 2-year anniversary in March, and we were wondering if they might be getting engaged then.  I had a totally selfish moment, but I’m hoping that if they do get engaged soon, they have a relatively longer engagement – I don’t want to be hugely preggo and unable to go (since I know Darling Husband and I would both be in the wedding party)!  LOL – no point in worrying about something that hasn’t even happened yet (on both the engagement and pregnancy front), but it was my first realization that it’s a possibility.  Any of you worried about pregnancy timing and weddings/other life events?  My BFF is getting married in May, so I’m hoping I’ll be a couple months preggo by then, but that’s the only upcoming wedding so far that I know of.

@SadieBee:  Hi internet twin!! Yey I hope we get BFP around the same time, and don’t forget both our hubbies study electrical engineering πŸ™‚ A lot in common. My bday is two days before yours. Wow it’s amazing you and your Darling Husband have the same bday.

So are you thinking you guys will most likely start TTCing in January?

As far as timing pregnancy, I figured it will be hard to actually plan when I get BFP as much as I wish I could. A while back, I thought having a baby around holidays wasn’t ideal, but I am not sure anymore how fast we can get pregnant, and if starting earlier means I can seek professional help earlier then I like that. I would love to have a baby – our first one- no later than 2015 at 30 Even if that means I will be pregnant while finishing school. At least I will be in my way to graduating.

Other than that, there are no major events to be considered.

@SadieBee:  I planned the earliest date of TTC to be sure I would be no more than 7 months pregnant for a big family event next fall, but that actually helped provide me with some structure for thinking about timing (the event was scheduled around the same time as I seriously began thinking about timing.  I am saying “I” because Darling Husband has said for a long time that he is ready whenever I am, so while we do discuss timing he is basically leaving it up to me!  Ahh responsibility!).  I do not think I would change our timeline for anything else at this point, other than changing circumstances for the two of us (as in, it doesn’t matter if other people schedule events, if we miss them that is life; but if we do not feel it is the right time for some reason then we would wait).  Otherwise, there is always another event when you consider family and friends!

@amyinbrisbane:  Congrats about your healthy ovaries–wow that sounds a bit weird. I am sorry you guys still have a while until TTCing. FX it can happen earlier, and when it happens you get your BFP soon!

@candy11:  Yeah, right now I think we’re planning for January.  DH is interviewing with Google next week – fingers crossed!  He’s in full-on job-search mode, so we’re really hoping he has an offer by Christmas.  If that happens, we’ll be moving right after New Years, and probably pulling the goalie at that point too πŸ™‚  If he’s still in career limbo, we’ll be waiting, but hopefully that’s not an issue!

@SadieBee:  OMG in that case we’ll be NTNP/TTC twins.  I will keep my fingers crossed so your Darling Husband gets the job of his dreams. Yey!!!

@SadieBee:  My BFF is getting married in May, too, how funny!!  I’m happy we didn’t TTC earlier for the same reasons!  It’s not super selfish, the last thing you’d want is to go into labor at their wedding!  I had a 39 week momma-to-be at my wedding and she was making me nervous as she was having contractions.  Not that my hubby and I aren’t both nurses (which means I had 3 ER RNs at the wedding and 3 labor and delivery RNs at the wedding haha) but still!  We were 30 minutes away from a hospital and she is known for quick labors…

Anyways the most I’ll be pregnant is 4 months at her wedding and that should be fine!  She is letting us pick out our dresses so I am looking for something empire wasted or flowy in the front just in case πŸ™‚

@fridaythe13bride:  Yeah, I know we’d likely have to fly cross-country for my friend’s wedding, so I’d be sad if I had to miss it.  I’ll be at most 4 months at my BFF’s wedding, too!  I already ordered my bridesmaid’s dress, but I ordered it a size up just in case, and already talked to her about the possibility of getting a seamstress to change the bodice to a corset-back if I am pregnant, so I’d have a little more control over sizing πŸ™‚

@SadieBee:  Oh that would be sad to miss the wedding because of flying πŸ™ Something else you have to consider I suppose, but I don’t believe in changing your plans because of others’ plans.  You never know what could happen!  Good choice on a dress size up πŸ™‚

Hello ladies, so Darling Husband got this new idea that he wants to buy a new 60 in TV. Just as a little background, we do not have TV currently, only an old and small one to watch movies. He is super excited about the new year and possible price drop on the one he wants. He is says he is obssesed with the idea of having a TV after so many years without one. I agree….I am super excited too. He just reminds me of my own obssesion -if we can call it that- with all things TTC. It actually makes me feel less crazy, and I am really happy for him. Now we have two things too look forward in the new year. I feel like we can understand each other now that he is obssesed with something. Any similar experiences?
