When will you TTC?: This is ever changing! I’m going to say NTNP beginning in June 2014 now. Husband and I just got promotions, but we want to have some non-IUD time to enjoy each other and we’re planning on going to Vegas in April so we want to be able to enjoy that as well!

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: I went to the Dr a year ago, so I know everything is go there. I’m planning on getting my IUD removed soon. I need to start pre-natals and work on my health more.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: I don’t currently. We’ve agreed that we’ll get into that if we’ve gone a while without conceiving when the option is open (e.g. no more condoms). My husband thinks it would stress him out/be too much pressure if we jumped into that immediately.

What are your non-baby New Year’s resolutions?: Get into better health. Get the house clean. These aren’t really resolutions, just things we’ve been working on. My husband is going to work on running 1,000 miles this year.

*My username will hopefully be changing to MrsDe2013 soon, so the old one (currently first in December 2014, A____) can be removed from the list – it’s too identifying.

@SadieBee: I will be an official graduate when AF comes, maybe 4-6 days πŸ˜‰ Thanks for taking on the list. I’ll still stop by this thread and say hi.

I am still visiting family and got two big comments from family “baby related”. One came from SIL, she mentioned how my brother wanted to know how it feels to be an uncle, basically he has no nephews or nieces since he is the only one in the family with kids on both sides. The other one came from my DH dad, so last night was the first night we stayed with my in laws. My Father-In-Law told me he dreamed I had a kid with me, so sweet πŸ˜‰ I know I have more comments to come, and I really don’t mind them. We haven’t told our families we are so close to trying for a baby.

@SadieBee:  I’m reading “Mother of all pregnancy book2nd edition” by Ann Douglas. I’ve bought the Canadian edition since that’s where I live and I wanted something that would give me accurate information πŸ™‚ Hopefully this doesn’t ramble on too much! πŸ™‚ So far it’s been pretty good. We’re up to the chapter on when you find out you’re pregnant. Like I said before, it’s a very general overview of everything but I would recommend it for someone like me who just needed to have all the information in one spot and have a general sense of what goes on. My DH had questions that I wasn’t able to answer, so it’s been a great way to connect with my DH on a different level and really see what the other is thinking about certain things. If there’s a topic that you need more information on, you can do more research. It’s not too technical either, which is nice. It’s also got topics that DH and I haven’t even thought of talking about, so it brings up different and interesting conversations. I bought it on Amazon. There might be an American version too πŸ™‚ That’s as much as I can tell you so far!

Last night I was sitting in the laundry room that we’re redoing while DH was putting in the new flooring and reading to him from the book. I think it’s getting him more in the mindset of TTC. He actually seemed excited/interested! πŸ™‚

We’ve decided that I would make an appointment with the doctor for the end of January-beginning of Fenruary to have my IUD taken out and get my cycles back on track for May!! He has a big work meeting at the end of the month so we’re going to wait and make sure that nothing major happens before I have my IUD taken out though. But, it’s a decision and I feel so much more in control knowing that we’re on the same page and have a plan πŸ™‚

@SadieBee:  Thank you so much for keeping a list. I have been lurking on the TTC boards for a little bit now and figured I should post and get into the action!

Age: 28, Hubby is 29

When will you TTC?: We are hoping to get pregnant at the end of the summer (i know that you can’t plan these things but that would be ideal) so we will start trying in july or August depending on what my cycles show etc.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: trying to get in the best shape I can possibly be in, going on a few big trips (with friends to Mexico in March, romantic trip with hubby), and saving as much money as possible between now and then.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: I don’t currently and I am still on BCP. I hope to get off the pills in the spring to give my body some time to adjust.

What are your non-baby New Year’s resolutions?: Do a better job of keeping in touch with my brother and keeping a gratitide journal.

@SadieBee:  I know we will be going through similar changes this year! We know where we are moving and already have our new place. We need to do some renos first but it’s nice to know exactly where we will live. The only thing left to figure out is a moving date, which will most likely be somewhere in April. The part I am most stressed about is finding a job. I have a good position right now and I’m scared it’ll take me a while to find something and I would hate to delay TTC for that.
