Okay, so my new doctor is insane haha!

  • She as an awesome Eurpean accent that just made her ranting more hysterical.
  • She was so confused as to why I stopped taking BC in November and didn’t try to get pregnant right away. When I explained about the weddings and stuff she, waved it off and basically said I should try immedietly. Which we won’t.
  • Asked her about prenatal pills – she said it doesnt matter what brand, organic, not organic, gummy, chewable, whatever I wanted, go for it.
  • She told me to start eating healthy and work my abs.
  • While doing the exam, she felt for my uteris and then said ‘oh okay, you can stay on your back after sex’. Apparently if your uteris is in a different position, it’s better for you to lay on your stomach?
  • We’re not supposed to have sex everyday so that the egg gets good sperm.
  • She basically went on to cheerlead about me trying for a bbay immedietly, but not to be upset if it doesn’t happen right away, that we will talk in a year if I am still not pregnant.

Anyway, it was a strange appointment. Now I need to figure out a prenatal to take….

@b00kbug:  30 days!? How exciting!  You’re new doctor sounds really interesting! That is funny that she is so excited for you to TTC. I hope my new doctor is like that! Haha.

@Emma20130601:  Congrats on going off BC!! May is coming up SO soon! It’ll be here before you know it! ๐Ÿ™‚

@b00kbug:  That does sound like a strange appointment. The part about being on your back after sex made me laugh, isn’t that something obvious?   Did you get anything good at all out of it?

 @Kate0558:  yay congrats!

@Imabigkidnow:  Yea, I can’t believe I am down to a month already! But I still want it to be sooner! Like tomorrow would work ๐Ÿ˜›

@emsy3110:  Yea, she was interesting! I thought she was helpful, just very excited and flighty. I got the info that I needed, she just didn’t understand all the questions I had I guess. She said at the start ‘whoa, you know pregnancy is not a disease, it’s a teporary condition!’ I know that when I do get my BFP that I will be seeing a midwife and not her, so I don’t really mind.

@SadieBee:  I think that is what I going to be taking! I need smaller pills, and I would prefer food based. They dont have DHA though, so I need to get some of those pills when I get my BFP I think? No idea…

@b00kbug: I completely understand. Waiting is hard! I wish we could try in March, but our honeymoon is in April, and Darling Husband does not want me pregnant for it. I don’t either, but I’m just impatient! Lol.

@SadieBee: Omg. Italy sounds amazing! We are going to Hawaii, Maui to be specific. And I definitely want to enjoy some Mai Tais before I actually get pregnant! Haha. Not to mention that I bought 9 new bikinis specifically for the honeymoon that I cannot wait to wear! Luckily, (according to my ovulation tracker) I am supposed to be in my fertile window the last four days of the honeymoon. But I have read that travel can delay ovulation, which I am hoping does not happen! I am nervous though, because I have never been on an airplane before, and am deathly afraid! Ahhhhh.

@SadieBee:  What is helping me the most with knowing I have to get on a plane is realizing that as soon as we land, we will be TTC! Lol. I bought all the bikinis online when VS had a sale after last summer! And am definitely looking forward to wearing all of them, because I know I may never look the same in them again after having a baby! Haha. It’s one of my concerns with having kids. I worked hard to get to where I am now, and it’s sad to think that my body may never be the same again, but I know it will be worth it. ๐Ÿ™‚

@Imabigkidnow:  I’m jealous that you are going to Hawaii! I agree too that you’ll be thankful you are not pregnant while on vacation so you can enjoy your trip fully.

@b00kbug:  That’s great that you are going with the midwife route. Are you planning on having a home birth? Something about using a midwife is appealing to me but I think I will go with a regular doctor for my first pregnancy and if all goes well I will go with a midwife for the second one and see how they compare.

@Imabigkidnow:  That is so true about wearing bikinis after having a baby. I’m prefectly okay with the fact that my body will be different after having a baby but a part of me will miss my pre-baby body during bikini season!

@emsy3110:  No, there is a midwife program through a hospital not too far from us. So I will be in the hospital, but with a midwife and not a regular doctor team. I think I’ll feel safer in case there is an emergency, but I don’t want to deal with a regular doctor, I want to try to have a med free, intervention free birth.
