So ladies, are there any months you’ll try to avoid conceiving? I’d like to avoid the month of September because both our birthdays are in June and our wedding anniversary will be as well.

@Emma20130601:  I’d go with A…. or at least start TTC while on the trip.  It sounds like you are excited about it, too?

@livelaughlove628:  Yes…. I really don’t want a Nov/Dec baby.  That was part of us deciding to start in the summer (vs, oh, next month, haha).  But if it hasn’t happened and we are approaching a Nov/Dec due date, I’m sure I will throw that out the window!

Ladies, I won’t be here for a bit– going on part 2 of our honeymoon tomorrow!  We are skiing in Whistler, BC.   SO excited.  This is also the biggest thing on our before-kids list.  Wink Back next week!

@livelaughlove628:  A while ago, I used to think that I would like to avoid TTC during certain months; however, now that we’re actually going to TTC in April (which would result in a Christmas baby), I don’t really want to avoid any specific months. I don’t want to put off TTC until May, because you never really know what can happen. In my eyes, when I’m meant to get pregnant, I will. It doesn’t matter to me when the baby would be born! If we got lucky enough to get pregnant the first month we try, it would be very possible that the baby would be born near our wedding anniversary (January 14). I think it would be kind of cool!

@livelaughlove628:   I don’t think we really want to avoid any months. Ideally we would love to have the baby in the srping or summer, but if we start in June are are successful on the first try the baby would be born in March.

Thanks for the reality check ladies!! πŸ™‚ We’re planning on going to Ireland for 10 days and our plan was to start TTC on the trip. I had told DH that as soon as I got my BC removed he was in charge of condoms and he didn’t buy some yesterday, even though I reminded him several times. So anyways, we got to talking and he would be willing to NTNP now, but if I got pregnant he didn’t feel like we should go on the trip. Ah well! I know waiting is the best thing to do right now. I just got so excited about it. We are both really exccited for the trip so, hopefully May comes quickly!!

If you got pregnant you wouldn’t even be showing by the time you went to Europe and I doubt it would affect your trip much, maybe a bit of MS. Unless he thinks that if you got pregnant he wouldn’t want to waste thousands of dollars on a Europe trip that could be for the baby.

If my DH was flexible, I would go to Europe and TTC then while you’re nice and relaxed!

@SadieBee:  Can you move me to June 2014? DH and I agreed that we would start 1-2 months earlier than planned πŸ™‚

@SadieBee:

Age: 36

When will you TTC?: Not planning but not planning either. If life was perfect, we would get a bigger home and then go for it. We would also like at least 1 of our cars to be an SUV.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Had pre-conception with my OBGYN, downloaded an app to track periods, ovulation, etc, read a mini-e-book about pre-preganancy nutrition, wrapped my head around being a mom, chatted with DH, made some goals for ourselves and I’ll be meeting with a nutrionist. I’ve also begun to research “baby essentials” and we would like to take a trip with DH’s son and ourselves before this happens. But I remain open…life is funny. πŸ™‚

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Not yet.

What are your non-baby New Year’s resolutions?: Started school again, so there’s that, fiding more ways to make money, be more conscious about food.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure we’ll start TTC during our trip πŸ™‚ DH would want to cancel the trip because he’d be worried about me having a miscarriage while we were over there, and he’s worried about me feeling sick and tired the whole trip. But last night, we was trying to calculate the chances that we get pregnant the first try. I think he’s excited about TTC but doesn’t want anything to happen to our trip. That’s the thing that he’s having the most trouble with when he thinks about babies. He’s like “our lives are pretty much over and we will never do anything fun for ourselves ever again” type of thinking.

@livelaughlove628:  I think we would want to avoid having a March baby because we make maple syrup and it’s the busiest time of the year. I would be worried that if I went into labor, DH would be thinking about the sugar camp and how he needed to go help. That’s basically the only month we’d avoid I think.
