@SadieBee:  Coffee will be my biggest hurdle. I love me some Dunkins. I get headaches if I dont have caffeine.

AFM Im currently sitting at the RMV to become an offical mass resident its taken almost my whole day. Glad I only have to do this once

@livelaughlove628:  I was actually JUST talking to DH about caffeine yesterday. I drink espresso every single day. If it’s not from Starbucks (or any other local coffee shops), then I have an espresso machine at home and I make my own. On the off chance that I don’t get coffee in a day, I’ll be miserable.. Tired, headaches, and just feeling ‘off’. I have tried to ween myself off, and the most I’ve survived in three days, and I caved and I HAD to have coffee. I don’t like tea at all, and I don’t drink soda anymore either. When we were at Starbucks yesterday, I grabbed the nutritional information to see if I could see how much caffeine is in what I drank and it’s 225 mg. Now on to researching how much caffeine is considered ‘safe’ or ‘okay’…. I can’t live without my coffee (sad, I know).

I’m so nervous, I have my appointment for a transvaginal ultrasound in 2 hours and I really don’t want to go. Hopefully they find what has been causing me pain but right now I am just terrified of that test! Anyone has had it done before? Any words of encouragment?

I think I’m ready to join this thread! Laughing

Age: I’m 24 and my husband turns 26 soon.

When will you TTC?: We haven’t set a specific date yet, but we’ll likely start TTC anywhere between August 2014 to February 2015.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Redoing my apartment; replacing our two couches with one sectional, getting rid of clutter that’s built up, clean carpets, etc. and starting a diaper stash.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: No.

What are your non-baby New Year’s resolutions?: We want to go on another big trip this year! Also my husband wanted to start up Roth IRAs for both of us this year and we did that about a week ago!

@emsy3110:  I’ve never had it done but from what I heard its painless and just feels like pressure. I think they insert a wand to scan from the inside as well as out. Do you have to keep a full bladder? I heard thats the hardest part!  It’ll be okay!! Hope they can figure out whats causing you pain!

@SadieBee:  I think a medium cup of coffee is acceptable, and also I heard that caffeine increases fertility in men. Lucky ducks!!

@FreckledFox:  Yes I need a full bladder. I’m currently drinking water like it’s my job and it’s not fun. I’m really not that thirsty! Yes they insert a wand, so I’m expecting it to maybe feel like a PAP.

@emsy3110:  Oh man! Good luck. I don’t think it’s painful. I’m sure everything will be okay! Do you know how soon you will get the results back?

@livelaughlove628:  Oh, I see. I need to look up if there is a difference between just coffee and espresso. I believe espresso is stronger.

@emsy3110:  I’m 95% sure that its not painful. Maybe bladder pressure is all!

@livelaughlove628:  So it wasn’t that bad after all! First of, I completely failed at drinking 1000ml of water and not going to the washroom. I think I started to drink my water too early and by 4:15pm I was in SO MUCH pain  from having an extremely full bladder that it was not humanly possible for me not too pee. So I did and I felt much better after. But then I had to drink water again so I proceded to drink about 600ml of water in 5 minutes! I got to my appointment at 5pm and they did the test right away. The technician didn’t say anything about my bladder not being full enough so I was happy about that. Lesson of this story, I will never drink the recommended 1000ml of water 1 hour before an ultrasound again, not doing that to myself!

The test itself was uncomfortable and a bit painful at times but the technician was really nice and she talked to me the whole time. Only took about 10 minutes maybe and it was all done! I’ll get the results from my doctor next week.

@emsy3110:  I’ve had an ultrasound before for a bladder condition that I have. And I was crying because I was in so much pain from having a full bladder. So, I feel for you! It’s sooo painful. I am glad you got it over with, and make sure you keep us updated next week with the results. Hope you get to the bottom of your issue!! 🙂

Welp, we pulled the goalie last night. I guess we are bad at waiting Laughing Not actively trying or anything, just sort of lazy-NFP (not charting and temping, just going by my probably not accurate period tracker app).
