@SadieBee:  Nope, not yet! I almost bought a jeep stroller from a church tag sale but DH talked me out of it! it was $25!! for a JEEP Stroller. Sigh. He is really against buying anything unless its something we can’t ever get again while pregnant.

@emsy3110:   @Mrs. Coyote:   @livelaughlove628:  TCOYF was so eye-opening for me.. I also had NO idea how much I didn’t know.  I went off the pill in November, thinking that it might take time for things to get back to normal, and am on my third cycle charting.  It’s been really interesting (and things seem to have regulated right away, so that was reassuring).

@emsy3110:  I don’t take my temp at the exact same time….. it just seems too hard.  I think it’s definitely more accurate if you do, but even without, I have been able to figure out when I ovulate.  There is about an hour and a half of variation on weekdays (I get up early to work out some days) and more on the weekends (I don’t set an alarm just to temp).  The Impatient Woman’s guide is also on my reading list, have not read it yet.

@SadieBee:  No, definitely avoiding any and all baby purchases for now…. there will always be more sales.  I do like to browse but try to not even consider buying.  I feel like if I did, it would be a slipperly slope!

@SadieBee:  I haven’t bought anything yet.  Don’t want to freak DH out.  He’s still getting used to the fact that we are TTC next month.

@SadieBee:  I haven’t/don’t plan to.  Is there any chance you guys will be moving far away?  If so, moving sucks enough without having to move items you won’t even need for several months!

Age: DH and I are both 25

When will you TTC?: Tent. plan is to begin early 2016 (May/June), but I’d really like to begin May/June 2015

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Saving money, excercising, enjoying time with my husband

Do you chart? Link to the chart: No.

What are your non-baby New Year’s resolutions?: To read more books just for me! I’m an English teacher so sometimes the fun is sucked out of reading. Also, to take as many trips with my husband as possible this year!

ETA: Can anyone give me some advice on how to work through some serious baby fever? I am really emotional these past few weeks (could that be from switching generic brands of BC?) and am on the struggle bus for sure. My husband is not ready to have a baby, and usually I’m right there with him. Lately, though…

Well, had the chat with DH about stopping BC earlier than we had talked about it and it went really well!! He was totally on board with it. I’ll be taking two more packs and then attempting to chart until we TTC in July. I know it’s still far away, but holy crap. SHIT JUST GOT REAL HERE YOU GUYS. I’ve been on BC for over 10 years and now I suddenly only have two more packs to finish?! What the whaaaaaat!

@KatiePi:  Welcome! When the baby fever gets bad I always try to focus on things I won’t be able to do when when pregnant/have children. I plan a spur of the moment trip. I sleep in until noon on a Saturday (or least just lay in bed allllll day with DH.) I throw myself into a new hobby that I probably won’t have the time to keep up with when we have kids. I drink lots of wine and eat lots of sushi and remind myself that I will have to deprive myself of those things when I’m pregnant. Basically, I act very selfishly and I love it. πŸ˜€

@Mrs. Coyote:  Thanks! I’m doing a lot of those and they definitely help. I do love sleep. I love going to bed at night whenever I want and waking up last minute to get ready for work. Oh, and I love wine lol. These are good things to remember! I’m just more emotional than I usually am at this time of month. I’m thinking it has to do with a BC switch and after my body adjuts I’ll be back on track for our TTC timeline. Tough though! Congrats to you on getting so close! πŸ™‚

@SadieBee:  Nope, haven’t bought anything and I don’t really plan too. We just sold our other house (we were stuck paying two mortgages since the summer) and we’re starting to get some money back from the previous renter (she never paid a full rent in a year) so we’re just starting to feel a little less like we’re suffocating πŸ™‚

BUT, I have started a Wish List on Amazon πŸ™‚ DH doesn’t know about that – I made it private and it’s my little secret πŸ˜‰

@Mrs. Coyote:  Wooohooo!!! That’s great that the talk went smoothly with your DH! πŸ™‚ I know when I made my appointment to have my IUD removed there was this feeling of “holy crap, we’re really doing this!!” lol

You guys, DH is gone to Asia for 3 weeks and I am so bored at home. Over the weekend I kept looking at baby stuff online, at the bump thread, at BFP threads and I was like “why am I not pregnant right now?!” The feeling is starting to subside a tiny bit but I feel like it can pop out at any moment lol

Well Im pretty sure I felt my first ovulation pains yesterday.  I have never had these pains before.  They came and went a few times.  It was all on my right side.  Im surprised I just had them since I usually ovulate earlier than CD 18.  I usually have at least 2 days of EWCM but this cycle only one day, CD 13 and then watery.  Weird.

@Emma20130601:  Aww I know the feeling. When I’m alone for too long I find myself obssessig about baby stuff a little too much. But it always makes me smile to think that I will hopefully be pregnant THIS YEAR!

@KatiePi:  The wait can be very annoying right sometimes, but honestly this thread has helped me so much! It’s really great to be able to talk openly about crazy baby fever with women who feel the exact same way. And like other people said, right now is the time to enjoy things you will not be able to once you are pregnant or have a newborn to take care of.

@SaltedCaramel:  Maybe I’ll start in a month or two then if the temperature doesn’t have to be taken at the exact same time each month. Have your charts been precise enought to be able to determine O date so far?

AFM, I got to see my friend’s 2 month old daughter this weekend and I was so in love! DH was getting really excited to be around the baby as well which was absolutely adorable. He said a few times that he’s excited to have one of those soon which is always a nice thing to hear from him!
