I am 25, but will be 26 when we TTC. Husband is 26.

When will you TTC?:

Will have my preconception appt in May, then start TTC in September 2014.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?:

Eating better and exercising.  We are also trying to get our house completely furnished and organized.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: A what?

Not charting yet, but definitely going to start when I stop BCP in May. I just signed up for FF and started reading through their classes.

What are your non-baby New Year’s resolutions?:

Actually start using my sewing machine, complete 3 woodworking projects and read at least a book a month.

@SadieBee:

Age: 25

When will you TTC?: Straight after the wedding, so October 2014… THAT’S THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Reading up on prenatal vitamins. That’s about it right now! I came off BC in 2010 so my periods are regular now. I charted for a month and it turned me into a crazy lady. I think when the time comes I will just invest in loads of ovulation kits

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Never again!

What are your non-baby New Year’s resolutions?: To be more patient with people. I can get a bit snappy sometimes!

It’s been a bit of a weird week. A couple of days ago I kept saying to Fiance that this time next year we’ll be celebrating new year as a married couple, and he replied that this time next year I could be pregnant. Well, I freaked out a little!! It just sounds so very close!! Then today I found out that FI’s ex-GF is expecting her 2nd and FI’s cousin is expecting her 3rd. I feel really sad and jealous. I know it has no bearing on my ability to have a baby, but I guess I just wish that was us telling everyone the good news. I can only imagine what a nightmare I will be once we are actually TTC!

Age: 27…28 in 7 days! DH is 28

When will you TTC?:  NTNP in April, TTC June +

What are you doing to get ready to TTC? Just bought prenatals! Trying out Paleo eating style and continuing to work out. Maybe try yoga to stress less. Working on moving jobs to have a more flexible schedule for mommyhood πŸ™‚ And paying off debt/saving money of course

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Tracking period in period app, paying attention to CM. Probably won’t chart until a few months in if not PG

What are your non-baby New Year’s resolutions?:

Worry and stress less! Take big leaps of faith! I am a big planner/worrier and I hate it, ready to change πŸ™‚

Also, I just want to say that I am so so excited to TTC. Held in the baby rabies for awhile (HI Shut it up pact ladies!) Finally wrote it all out in a letter in August in which my husband responded strongly ‘NO not yet!’ Now every holiday he says “Wanna make a Christmas baby??” “Wanna make a New Year’s baby??” I’m waiting for “Wanna make a Martin Luther King Jr Day baby???” LOL He is suddenly on board and is too excited to wait for our spring/summer timelines. Hip hip hooray for changes of heart! If we didn’t have to fly out of state for weddings in the fall I would say lets start now! Also glad I started that secret baby board on Pinterest years ago…HA

@livelaughlove628: SadieBee:  Hahaha, apparently it’s just me. I’ve definitely moved more toward just appreciating the last of our time without children. A few months ago I had the “Nope, don’t want babies” about once every 2-3 months. Now I just have times where I -want- a baby, like now, and times where I am really content and appreciating the quiet before our storm =)

@Nyxee:  I really want to learn how to sew! My mom made me dresses when I was little and it was just so nice having homemade things.

@linnylou_88:  The jealousy is really hard. I was around another mother and I kept thinking “I can do this, why am I not doing this right now???” I worry because my Bestie and her fiance are trying and may not be able to concieve. She’s assured me she’ll be nothing but thrilled when I am pregnant but I really wish we could do it together. And I worry a little bit that it will bring up the sensitive subject for her.

@Firebelle13:  Isn’t it great when your husband is suddenly on board? Mine still panicks a little but he is bringing up baby stuff on his own regularly now. He’s mostly just worried about if he’ll be a good dad.

Ok so I just wrote a massive backstory then it deleted so here’s The questions..

Age: 24

When will you TTC?: may/june

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: about to go on bc for wedding/honeymoon but will then be stopping at the start of May once we are back. Thinking about going to see doc for what he recommends but I haven’t really even looked into anything.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: no and don’t plan on it at least initially.

What are your non-baby New Year’s resolutions?: didn’t make any.

I know it’s probably unrealistic but I’m hopeful to get a bfp before August so that we can surprise our parents when we go to see them.

@emsy3110:

Thank you all for your replies on the previous thread about my frustration with DH talking to people about TTC when it made me uncomfortable and possible changes in timing.

I did talk to him once I gathered my thoughts.  He apologized for talking to people about or plans and said he would try harder to respect my boundaries (it is fine with me if he needs someone to talk to, just not everyone!).  He does want to wait until our trip to TTC, but implied that he’d be OK if we were in the TWW during our trip.  I guess we’ll need to wait and see where my cycles are falling to know when we will begin.

@SadieBee:  Thanks for starting the new thread!

Age: Both 29

When will you TTC?:  July/August 2014, postponed from May 2014 (I keep reminding myself it is only 2-3 months, not a big deal, but I am a little sad!)

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?  Generally trying to get healthier, will start prenatals when my regular multivitamins run out.  Does obsessively reading up on random topics like strollers count as getting ready?

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Can’t, I’m on birth control. Undecided if I will at the beginning or if it will only stress me out.  I do have TCOYF though.

What are your non-baby New Year’s resolutions?: Complete an exercise program, pass my big exam in June (more of a requirement than a resolution I suppose), and run a 5k

Crazy to think I could be pregnant at this time next year!!!

Just made my appointment to have my IUD taken out on January 29th!!!! I’m such a weirdo but my heart is beating super fast and I’m exxcited/scared/nervous/happy all at the same time. It’s becoming more concrete!! I can’t believe that we’re going to TTC this year! May seems so far but at the same time so close. Eeeeeeeeee!!!

Anyways, just needed to let it out. I’m the type of person that when I’m really excited about somethign I just end up blabbing it all and we’re trying to keep it very low key that we’ll be TTC soon!! πŸ™‚

@Firebelle13:  It’s so exciting when your DH is on board for a baby! I like that I’m not the only one bringing it up all the time now! Loving my secret Pintrest board as well πŸ™‚

@fallingleaves:  Glad to know you two could talk it out! And I do believe reading about baby stuff (stollers, cribs, etc) is a way to get ready haha! I am definitely guilty of going that!

Like so many of you have already said….I can’t believe we are going to be TTC THIS YEAR!  Ah!  That blows my mind a little.

Age: 29 (DH is 30)

When will you TTC?: Still on track for September 2014

What are you doing to get ready to TTC? Going to line up a preconception doctor’s appointment to make sure everything is a go after we get back from our winter vacation at the end of the month (Yay CUBA!  Need to get away from this frigid winter).  Otherwise, still plugging away at home renos while we have some extra cash flow/time.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/mkat37

What are your non-baby New Year’s resolutions?: Try at least one new recipe per week, take more pictures, and watch less TV.
