i didn’t try on bridal gowns, but i did buy a bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding there. the weekday when i went to pick up the dress was EMPTY. the sunday when i went to try the dress on was packed, even an hour before closing. i would just call them and see if you need an appt, before going. doesn’t hurt to ask! 🙂

I did a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon and was helped right away. I think it just depends on your location and the proximity of other bridal stores as to how busy your location will be.
Also seconding the “put a junk email address” thing. I had to yell at them to get them to stop “following up”, even when I repeatedly told them I had already bought my dress somewhere else.

I think it depends on where the store is located and what your goal is. If you just want to browse, I’m sure they would be fine with it. I have done both (walked in and made an apponitment and called ahead). My best experience was when I called ahead and said that I would not need any help, and they gave me a room and left me alone. It was awesome. Also, like PP said, be sure to read and to indicate you don’t want to be contacted. I bought my dress there and have never received any phone calls or e-mails from other places. I definitely do not feel harrassed or anything.
If you already went, how was it?
