Yeah, I think she’s on the left so that the father is in the middle until the Declaration of Intent (or whatever you choose to do!) is stated.

David Tutera showed on an episode how to properly carry a bouquet. You thumbs should be pointing (or touching if it helps!) at your belly button so keep the bouquet at waist level. Yes I cant stand it when brides carry a bouquet up to their chest. Don’t they realize at that point NO ONE is seein the dress they paid thousands of dollars for because a huge bouquet is covering it up?? And yes you stand to the left.

Bride walks to the left of her daddy.  I didn’t realize there was a proper way to carry a bouquet but I wasn’t planning on covering up my chest LOL so I’m good on that.

And heck yes, I am definitely nervous because all eyes will be on me and I’m clumsy. AND, I’m super emotional.  I’m afraid I’m going to end up crying my entire way down the aisle and look like a mess ๐Ÿ™

@SuperDuperBrit:  That’s what I’m most worried about!  Sputtering out my vows because I’ll be crying hysterically!  And I tend to talk when I’m nervous….I’m afraid I’m going to ad-lib the whole damn thing

<turns to guests…”I swear I’m happy”  “Oh, I’m such an ugly cryer!” “Really self?!”>

Our officiant made me stand to the RIGHT of my dad while walking down the aisle.  Weird, right??  I was too stressed to object.  Heh.

Ah this helped. I didn’t know I was to the left of my dad. I suppose that makes sense. I thought we were talking about where the bride’s family sits and I have always seen them placed at the left of the church as you walk down the aisle. Good. My family can see my dress better then ๐Ÿ™‚

Good advice on the bouquet. I didn’t give this any thought until now. I probably would hold it to high had I not read this!

@sasi: In response, even with not knowing half this stuff, I am not nervous. I am only nervous that my daddy won’t let me go once we reach the front of the church! Somehow, I’m ok with that though, lol.

Haha – I think I stood to the left of my dad…. but I walked with both parents…… and I was told 500 million times to hold the bouquet by my stomach, and sure enough, it’s up by my chest in all the pictures.  I think it’s a nervous/excited reflex thing – I did, however, have a huge goofy smile on my face and actually said HI to people as I walked down the aistle, like a fool – lol.  My best friend did the same thing when she got married and we laughed about it then too.

No matter how hard you try to plan it, it never goes exactly as planned – you’ll figure it out, and you’ll get there one way or another – don’t stress about it!  And yes – all eyes are DEFINITELY on you!  ๐Ÿ™‚

Traditional christian wedding ceremony… The bride is on the left side of her father.

Carry your bouquet at your waistline. Remember to focus on smiling and forget about your guests for a moment and just think about your destination… the love of your life.

@OliveT:  You response made me LMAO. I would probably be saying hi to people on the way down too come July.

I don’t know why, but that made by day, lol.
