I am having my grandma walk me down the aisle because she has raised me and is by far the family member most dear, and parental, to me. She is the one my fiance asked for a blessing before asking me, and without her I don’t know where I’d be. I also want my FH to meet me halfway down the aisle, so we can walk together, and symbolize the compromise and principles of a marriage being ‘meeting in the middle’. But I don’t want grammy to have to walk alone. So I’m thinking he can meet us in the middle, escort her to her seat, and then come back and walk with me. Is this a good idea? Will I look awkward standing there while this happens?
