Hi Bees, what did you all walk down the aisle to?
I have no idea yet but i’m currently trying to figure it out as it is such an important part of the ceremony!
I think the bridal party are going to come in to Intro by the XX, its a nice instrumental which sums up the vibe for the rest of our wedding but isn’t too quirky or cheesy.
Still thinking about the song for me to walk with though, maybe something by Bon Iver or just an instrumental.

I’m walkign down the aisle to a song called ‘I get to love you’ by Ruelle.
I heard it and it just seemed perfect for my walk down the aisle. There is a line near the end that goes “They say that love is a journey/ I promise that I’ll never leave/ And when it’s too heavy to carry, Remember this moment with me” and I just knew I wanted that moment to be the one where my father hands my off to my fiance.
It’s a totally beautiful song! <3

I’ll be walking down to the Imperial March. For some reason I prefer instrumentals when brides walk down the aisle.
I’m excited to see what other bees have chosen! 😊

I’m torn between the Imperial March and the Overture from Phantom of the Opera!

My girls walked down to Skinny Love played by our string duo! I walked to Pachelbels canon in D.

My friend walked down the aisle to “I can’t help falling in love with you.” There is an Elvis version and another version although I don’t remember her name, but it was beautiful!

Decisions are hard! I have a friend who wants to play it in bag pipes, too. If he doesn’t have it down by New Years I’ll go traditional. 😉

I walked in to Falling Slowly by Vitamin String Quartet. It was amazing

I love Vitamin String Quartet for walking down the aisle, it is a nice balance between contemporary and the drama that comes with a more traditional choice imo. I’m considering their version of Calgary.

We had a quartet, and had them play “one day like this” by elbow for the processional. I wanted something with a nice pace as we had a lot of stairs to get down!

I had a song called “At Zanarkand”, from the Final Fantasy X soundtrack. It’s a really nice piano piece and I’ve always loved it. I got so much grief from my mother about walking to a song from a video game, despite her never hearing the song, and then once she heard it she said it was a bad pace to walk to. Cue much eye rolling and completely ignoring her objections …

I heard an instrumental from Trace Bundy covering sweet child of mine. I know it’s a bit unorthodox but I’m considering this one 😉

I walked down to the instrumental version of Black Bird by the Beatles. I am not a major Beatles fan, I just heard it and it felt right for our ceremony.

I’m walking down to From This Moment by Shania Twain. The words are so perfect for us. Everytime I hear I always picture the moment when I am walking in and he see’s me for the first time. It’s just so magical.

I’ll be walking down the aisle to Fall for You by Leela James. Specifically this part…
“Will you promise to be there?
Stay by my side always?
Whenever I need you
Don’t let me down, no, no
If I give you my all, don’t let me fall
Would you do that for me, hold me?
Will you love, will you love me?
My heart is ready
For love and to be loved
And I chose you, baby
That’s the one thing I’m sure of
So I will take this one last step…”
